I have found that the best way to survive a whole day when lidl is shut is to buy enough food the day before to last us right through the bank holiday day..and then restock the day after the bank holiday day,with a good fridge and a bit of planning it is quite possible to survive without too much he...

What is obnoxious about my post? Some of the members here are self confessed grumpy old sods..and very proud of it too so it seems . A grumpy old sod is a grumpy old sod...perhaps you don't like calling a spade a spade and would prefer the term " an unhappy gentleman"..but he is still a gr...

I wonder how much they spent doing the survey..they could have saved a lot by just looking at the comments of some of the grumpy old sods on this forum!

I think " turning off" and "powering down" will have the same effect.

1- they are both adults
2-they have money
3-they want to go to live in Spain
let them get on with their lives...stop worrying about this and worrying about that and worrying about everything else...go for it now while they are yoing enough to give it their best shot.

So to sum it up it seems that you found it easier to find work and make money in Spain during the years when the world economies were booming...but found it harder to find work and make money in Spain during the years of worldwide recession.

Once bitten twice shy? Doesn't seem to apply if the brits who left the UK as they didn't like living there later return to the UK again....going back to be bitten again.

If movistar is a reason not to learn spanish,or gives you stress and makes you miserable and makes you think of returning to the UK IMHO you have lost track of what the important things in life are,only my opinion and I know the majority will not agree.

as endesa do not read meters every 2 weeks, nor send bills for 2 week periods, are you sure the bill is not for the last month, or more likely even 2 months?

Our meter is remotely read..or read remotely..endesa have no access to our meter,but send the bills spot on every time.

I see in the news that malaga have a new vehicle especially prepared for taking the wax off the roads after easter..unfortunatly it broke after 24 when it sucked up a manhole cover!
