Re: Retirement age Spain

You need 15 years working contributions in Spain to qualify for minimum state pension, so if you have 25 years in U k AND 15 IN Spain then you would have a reasonable pension ! It's interesting to know that many E U countries have different scales and criteria for calculating pensions, Spain is one ...

Re: Coronavirus

As far as I'm aware the following rules now "appear" to apply, at least in Las Palmas anyway. Anyone can go out any time they want, providing they (everyone) wears a mascarilla if they cannot keep a two metre distance, doesn't appear to be working though, last night walking past a local restaurant t...

Re: Retirement age Spain

Olive, I'm not sure what you mean by a Combined "pension", If you have worked in U K AND Spain. the pensions will be paid separately and probably on different days of the month. The info is easy to access in U K not sure about Spain though !

Re: Coronavirus

I don't usually wear one while out for a walk but I do when I go shopping so I expect to carry on the same way. Remember, It's not necessary while having a drink on a terrace. It will be interesting to see anyone trying to have a drink while wearing one. I see a market niche here for a mask with bu...

Re: Made in China

Not everything in the Chinese bazaars are made in China. I've bought a number of glass dishes and cookware that were made in France, and plastic storage containers were made in Spain. As already said, there are different levels of quality of Chinese goods, as they make products for big names like B...

Re: Coronavirus

However, when we talk about generations to come where is the evidence? My parent' and grandparents' generation went to war and in spite of the devastation to lives and the economy, the baby boom generation have had life expectancy and living conditions unseen before due to a move towards a decent h...

I haven't seen (in person) any of my family for some time now,we keep in touch with weekly face time calls or other forms of messaging. I will certainly not be flying anywhere for some time, the thought of living in a bacteria ridden flying cigar tube for several hours scares me, I'm not one to scar...

The rules seem to have got knocked on the head, they say they haven't got the staff to cope with demand, many of them are furloughed..
Odd though that they have enough staff to issue vouchers :shifty: :shifty: !

Re: Coronavirus

Simple enough al: you are over 14, and under 70, so can walk within 1km of home for one hour a day, choosing a time between 06.00 to 10.00 or within the times of 20.00 and 23.00. When it is your 70th birthday you get a lie-in! You can of course also exercise for an hour any time within 1km radius. ...

Those of us under 70 and without kids have got a bit of a bum deal.
