In the summer months I live in Helsinki and it's never been a cheap place to live but one adapts and gets used to it, today I filled up my car with petrol, a mere 2.38 per litre, I may buy a battery powered bycycle  !!

Re: Favorite destinations that's not a famous tourist attraction

@elusive Haven't yet finalized everything. The trip is under process. But my wish list definitely has Córdoba, Ronda, Málaga, the Alpujarras, and the white villages. Geographically these places are all classed as western costa del sol, east, by definition, would be east of Malaga, A couple ...

Re: Moving BACK to Spain

I divorced some years ago and I'm financially very sound, I considered buying in Gran Canaria (where I live in t...

Re: Brough superior ss

As an update, my mate got member of the Brough Superiors club involved, the frame and engine numbers matched and he has now bought the bike. It appears that the father of the seller bought the bike as a project some years ago but then had serious health problems and subsequently died, the seller was...

Re: Spanish Wills & Lawyer no longer in business - questions.

I suppose the most important question, in my view is, do you have copies of any or all of your transactions with this lawyer and most importantly do you have copies of the will and after death instructions ? I'm no expert but these are the things that would be uppermost in my mind !

But I live in Finland in the summer, ie March to September, I have no idea what my bills will be when I go back to Gran Canaria !! My son's electricity bill has increased by around 40% in the last month, he liv...

Brough superior ss

A general question to all but specifically aimed at Peteroldracer ! A friend of mine who has been a motorcyle mechanic for over 40 years has tracked down a Brough superior SS80, no papers, no background info and no pedigree. It consists of a frame, wheels, tank, handlebars and an engine which is mos...

Re: Eu long term residents wishing to move to Spain

From first hand experience I can tell you that it is not a simple task. regardless of where you live now you will still have to apply for residencia in Spain.
