Re: Travel from Spain by Car via France via Channel Tunnel
Hi Manchesteral Thank you for your reply. You are not being helpful here. Legally or not this person has to return to UK now. Please can you or someone else answer my questions . My Friend will have to take his chances then. Thank You David I suppose he would really need to contact the foreign offi...

Re: Travel from Spain by Car via France via Channel Tunnel
I suppose the first question would be is he here legally or not, I'd suggest that if he's driving a british registered car he will certainly be a target for the cops, if he's overstayed his welcome then it's his own fault, sorry to be blunt !

I don't often buy books, preferring to get them from the library or charity shops but I've splashed out on another masterpeice from Hilary Mantel " The mirror and the light", it's a huge tome but so far not disappointing, I recommend it !

Re: The 90 day Allowance & Deportations?
Surely by driving about with Uk plates / no MOT - when you are a resident is reason enough to stop and confiscate? As I said they do not have the resources, extra Police, admin for paperwork, cost of towing them away etc. In other words it is cheaper to ignore them. Not every British car is illegal...

Spain as a whole doesn't *need" tourists. Yeah i bet they don't. no no.. hear me out - I say that spain as a whole doesn´t "need" tourists.. because think about it.. the streets of Malaga / fuengerola etc were always full of Spanish people before (20 years ago) and there were a...

Re: Receiving UK Pension but working autonomo
I am no expert on this but I seem to recall that this question has been raised before. I have no idea if his U K pension will be affected but I wonder if, with all his income being generated from outside of Spain he would actually considered to be "working" in Spain, quite possibly his res...

Mark, to answer your question about 'woke'. I think they got to 'woke' because 'politically correct' was a bit complicated for them. It appears to be unfashionable in certain quarters to actually care about your fellow human beings, the environment, or anything that does not drum up dosh for the 1%...

Re: IF YOU ARE PROLIFIC CRIMINAL WHY HAVE A TATTOO?
I have a number of tattoos, I have never knowingly engaged in criminal activity, I got mine 50 years ago when I was a seaman, mostly in Asia, King Frederick of Denmark had Tattoos ! In my youth tattoos were a symbol of liberty and independence almost every seaman I knew had them, today, however I th...

Re: Travel Covid requirements
Not everything is as appears in the media. I've had another successful roundtrip Spain - Canarias, with a few weeks in between obviously. 4 planes and 6 public buses later, I'm still not dead. The interesting element is how full 3 of the planes were and I mean totally packed like sardines! At natio...

Interview with minister for tourism live on TV in Benidorm yesterday. He was very optimistic and said they were relying on the Brits to be back in Benidorm. Actually looked very nice, smart bars on the Paseo and pristine beach. Would spend a couple of weeks there if it were always like that. I am n...

If you pay more than around five or 6 thousand into a Spanish bank you will have to fill in a form for the Bank of Spain detailing the origin. I think I posted on here the problem when I sold my car for cash. Even 2 banks in Gibraltar declined it and my Spanish bank where we had 2 accounts. There i...
