Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

I have no experience with that. But I'm wondering if there were some instructions or anything on the result page after you submitted the Form 210. Looking at the instructions for another form, it seems like they may give you some kind of payment key that you can use to later make the payment.

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Sorry, I may have misunderstood what you originally meant. If you are going to use your bank's website (method 1) then, yes, it makes sense to do that first and get the NRC. And then fire up the 210. But for method 2, you just enter your bank details on the AEAT page, without ever going to your bank...

I always do method number 2 and have never had a problem with it timing out. But, yes, whatever works for you.

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

I'm not sure why you're getting that error. But, instead of "Domiciliación" (direct debit), you could try the "A ingresar" (To deposit) option. In that case, the payment is immediately deducted from your bank account. Two ways to do it: 1. Make the payment via your bank's website. Some banks have th...

Re: Quarterly Rental Tax Return

Ericsbcn - As far as I understand, it won't be like retaining 76% of the rental income as we will no longer be able to make deductions ie. cleaning, laundry, proportion of community free, electricity etc. It will be on the gross rental income so before any deductions. I understand. We're actually i...

Re: Quarterly Rental Tax Return

I'm thinking that it may not be worthwhile renting if we're paying so much tax. What do other people think? :?: You mean it's not worth it to rent if you'll have to pay 24% tax? Well, you'll still get to keep 76% of your rental income. It won't be as good as keeping 81% of the rental income. But it...

Re: Internet banking

We have the BBVA Online Account. We've had it for 5 or 6 years now and we've been very happy with it. It has no maintenance fees and no minimum balance or deposit requirements. The website can be set to English. And there is also a mobile app.

Oh, I see what you mean. That only works to submit the form for previous years. 2011 to 2017.

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

The main issue with the new form is that you cannot import data from previous years. It looks to me like you can import data from previous years. If you choose "Presentación devengos 2011 a 2017", it opens a 210 form which has an import file button at the top. You can then choose a .210 file to imp...

Re: Quarterly Rental Tax Return

Right. If you don't have any rental income for a quarter, you don't file the 210. And, yes, you file tax on rental income separately from imputed tax. So, you may actually need to file two separate form 210's in the beginning of 2020. One for imputed income for all of 2019, and one for rental income...

Re: Quarterly Rental Tax Return

I'm not sure about deducting the outgoings. But note that if you need to pay imputed tax, it must be filed in the following year. So any imputed tax you need to pay for 2019, must be filed and paid any time from Jan 1, 2020, to Dec. 31, 2020. So it seems like you don't need to file anything at the m...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

esteponaman - Here's my little "cheat sheet" on how to do the form 210 for each type of income... For rental income: use Grouping accrual date blank type 01 file quarterly - first 20 days after the end of the quarter (1 - 15 for Internet payments) For imputed income: no Grouping period OA accrual da...

Re: fee-free bank account

We have the BBVA online account also. It has no fees and no conditions. You don't have to make a certain number or amount of deposits or anything. We've had it for 4 or 5 years now and have never paid any fees. You have to do all the initial set up of the account online, but once you have it, you ca...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Well, I suppose that makes sense. With the old form where you saved the data on your own hard disk, it didn't matter. But now that the data is stored on AEAT servers, they have to make sure everyone's personal data is secure. Without a digital certificate, AEAT doesn't know who you are, so they woul...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

I've just checked it again -- with digital certificate -- and the Cargar and Guardar buttons are there. Maybe it's an issue of the link being outdated again? I always go to the main site https://www.agenciatributaria.gob.es and then navigate down through the choices. That way, I'm fairly certain to ...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Yes, I can confirm that that does work. I just did it that way last week. That is: 1. Paid the tax via my bank's web site. 2. Copied the resulting NRC. (Don't lose it! On my bank's website, I couldn't find a way to get it back later.) 3. Filled out Form 210 using my digital certificate. Pasted in th...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Marc1970 - Unless you can get your bank to change your "fiscal identifier" from your passport number to your NIE before the 21st, I'm betting that the bank will reject the debit on that date. And if that happens, I have no idea what you should do next. Maybe try Beachcomer's suggestion of calling th...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Hi guys, thanks for super-fast and super-helpful replies! I have tried “to deposit” option and “get NRC”, but at the end of the procedure got the error: "79 NIF del firmante no titular a la cuenta" I’ve tried several times. Since it’s definitely me filling the form with mine Certificado Digital :) ...

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

Hopefully that will work for imputed tax on the new form. I think most people would prefer that the funds were taken from their account immediately rather than wait until the end of the year when it is too late to do anything about it if the debit is not made. Any further information would be great...
