Re: Subvenciones para las instalaciones de paneles solares sobre impuestos del estado

You will find that a Solar Installer would know as to what you can and cannot get. It also appears that any grants are only available when systems are installed by registered installers. However, installers typically end up lumping the cost of the grant onto the overall cost and then selling this "w...

Re: Is Wheel Clamping allowed ?

Our community has a 50/50 mix of English speakers / Spanish. We have a very good WhatsApp group. If a car is parked in a wrong spot and is reported on the whatsapp group. it's usually moved within 30 mins. The Spanish are as fed up as the English and Irish, but they don't like things like the hospit...

Re: Is Wheel Clamping allowed ?

Yes, some owners have these, but owners should not have to go to additional expense to ultimately defend their property. And you could rush out one day and forget to remove it, and destroy your car bumper. Someone could trip over it and make a personal accident claim against you. I would love to put...

Is Wheel Clamping allowed ?

In an apartment complex / community, is wheel clamping allowed ? Each apartment in our complex has a car space allocated. Each space is numbered with the apartment number. But we have a real problem where some owners just choose to ignore this and park where they like. It would be nice to simply hav...

Thanks Gerry,

At least I know that therefore Endesa must be notified in some way. I'll try contacting them directly.

Re: Solar PV - Feed In Tariff or Net Metering ?

Could it be down to different electricity suppliers ?

And who with or how do you register a self built Solar PV system ?

Re: Solar PV - Feed In Tariff or Net Metering ?

Brilliant - Net Metering is possibly simpler anyway.

I assume that systems must be registered with Endesa (or whoever). Would anyone have details for who or where (and how) to register ? Or do you simply inform the power company

Solar PV - Feed In Tariff or Net Metering ?

Can anyone confirm if excess Solar power, fed back to the grid, is either paid for via a Feed in Tariff (FIT) or is Net Metering used ?

Re: Non-resident tax app

Does anyone know if this company is still in operation ? I've tried to file for 2019 but I cannot see how to change the app to this year, from last year. I don't want to have to enter all details again.

I've emailed them but not received any response

Re: Solar Power

Here's my setup, which may be of help. This is a grid tied setup but if you want offgrid, you're best looking at a Hybrid Inverter, linked to Li-ion batteries

Solar Power Self Generation - Regulations ?

Hi all, Does anyone know the regulations around the installation of Solar Panels with a Grid-Tied Inverter please ? I know there is RD1966/2011, but I have no idea as to what this is governing ? I have an EN50438 Certified Inverter. It has a CT Limiter device which will prevent feedback to the grid....

Self Install Solar PV

Hi all, Was is required in order to do a Self Install of a Solar PV solution ? I have instaledl a setup in Ireland with an Inverter with a built in Limiter, which stops Feedback to the Grid, and want to look at installing the exact same Inverter in Spain. The inverter is EN50438 Certified. Are there...

Summer grass watering

Hi all, I am in an urganisation and we appear to be over watering the grass. It is my belief that most of the water just disappears into the subsoil. Rather than watering for 20 mins every second night, I feel it would be better to water for 5 mins every night. Of course, there is the factor of how ...

Solar for Community Pool Pump

Hi all, It seems a bit of a no-brainer to run a pool pump off Solar PV given that your pump is primarily running during the sunshine hours. My plan is to run a batteryless Hybrid / Off-Grid system to power the pool pump - the Solar PV Panels will power the Inverter directly and if insufficient power...

Why not dump Sky and go the IPTV route ?

Re: Solar Energy

Nice simple setup.

However, in many of those videos, they have the inverted connected to the battery rather than to the "load" ports on the controller.

Am I missing something ? I know it possibly still amounts to the same thing in that, if the battery loses all power, all devices are dead

Re: Solar Energy

I'm interested in putting together a "Project", starting small and increasing later. The main issue in Andalucia is that you cannot feel back to the grid. However, Bricomart sell a Hybrid Inverter which is actually designed to provide power downstream ONLY - which therefore solves the Backfeed probl...

Re: I907 at 27.5 W

As I understand it, the satellite service is contracted by Arqiva. The system is in place to back up the Ground Links linking each of the main transmission stations in the UK so that, in the event of a a failure of any of these ground based links - hence the name Satback(up). With IP and Leased Line...
