Digital Certificate Advice

The wife and myself obtained Digital Certificate's 5th June 2017 without any problems and have been using them right up to June this year . We received an email to say the one my wife had was expiring in a month and to follow the instructions to renew it . I have tried literally dozens of times to r...

Re: Earthing electrical items????

No, it will work. In Spain all installations are protected with an earth trip so normal earthing on simple appliances is not required. Sid I know that this is a very old post but as Sid is still very much alive and kicking i thought i would ask hi to elaborate more on this statement . My property h...

Problem is i did read that you get only one opportunity to download , install or whatever you have to do . Before i do anything else i thought it would be prudent to wait until someone who...

Re: Renta 2020 - Box asking about foreign pensions...

You are doing a joint return for the calculation of tax payable however you still have to input individual figures . If this is the 1st year she has an income it would be wise to do a simulation for both Joint and Individual returns . Joint returns are advantageous when only one of you has an income...

Re: Carta de Invitacion

Think you will find that its nothing new , its for Non EU visitors and although the UK is now Non EU that particular requirement doesn't apply to UK citizens because it was covered by the withdraw agreement .

Re: ClicSalud

Ok Have you signed into Playstore, on your smartphone, with a Google account that has been set up with a UK address? If so you won't see the app. If you sign in with a Google account that uses a Spanish address then you will see it and can download it. I have multiple Google accounts with different...

Re: ClicSalud

I can see it when i go to Play store with Windows laptop but of course cant download it , its not the same as going to it through a smart phone where it can actually be downloaded from , the top one is Salud Responde , no sign of the Salud Andalucía anywhere . Everyone of the other apps shown on the...

Re: Thousands of British expats in Spain remain “exposed and unprotected”

I will look into that again Beachcomber , it could be to my advantage if your right , i would very much like to be wrong even if it means i loose confidence in someone i have trusted for 18 years . If you can report back should you have any further in formation yourself especially if its information...

Re: Thousands of British expats in Spain remain “exposed and unprotected”

Sorry Beachcomber but it was an article from an official source that i read back in 2015 or 16 as it was relevant to my own personnel circumstances , as i recall the change was confirmed and due to become law within weeks . At the time it was quite a shock for me and i did make enquiries with my acc...

Re: Thousands of British expats in Spain remain “exposed and unprotected”

Not really relevant but i thought worth a mention as it demonstrates how the Tax man finds ways around inconvenient laws such as the Spanish statutes of limitation . Its been a common avoidance method for years to keep quiet about the death of a family member to avoid paying tax , after 4 and a half...

Re: Thousands of British expats in Spain remain “exposed and unprotected”

The follow up for the Ariel photos are a joke here . Four years ago someone from the town hall come out to our home in the hills to hand deliver a letter from the Town Hall stating we have something showing on our property which isn't registered on the Catastral , they were correct , the Ariel photo...

Re: Thousands of British expats in Spain remain “exposed and unprotected”

Im not so concerned about the ones claiming UK benefits while living here as i am the ones that buy a tiny a cortigo and do everything under the radar , no architect plans , town hall licenses or permissions , spend 20 years building it into a large property with swimming pool, garages etc and not p...
