Re: Repair Shops Closed

Have you actually tried calling the Grua ? Your insurance company would tell you if there was no Grua, rather than relying on what other people tell you.

Re: Confusion about NIE/Residency

I think most people who use a Gestoria or Abogado do so because their level of Spanish is not sufficient to get through the mine-field that Spanish bureaucracy can be. ]The information for doing most things is on-line, but problem comes when something goes wrong and bacause of the language barrier y...

Re: HITS MOBILE

I must admit, I am a bit surprised that you didn't know you had the internet with your package. Surely when you choose the HITS package it specifies if you have the internet. I have had a HITS PAYG package and it certainly specified how much data and minutes I had.

Re: HITS MOBILE

To be fair, I don't think you can blame HITS. It's not really their job to tell you to turn off data, if you don't need it. How would they know ? I don't think any other mobile company would have told you either. Though, do agree that their communications with you could have been better and more pol...

Found the problem...the cable to the box was damaged, replaced the cable, which has sorted the problem.

Has anyone had any problems with receiving Intelsat today ? Mine no longer seems to work, just checking if it is problem with my kit or the satellite down for the changeover to 901.

Re: Thinking of moving to alcaucin area

If you get a good solicitor they can organise the bank account and NIE for you, if you like. I asume that you are moving out here permantely, not just buying a holiday home? If that is the case, you really should do it before the end of the year, and ensure you get your Residencia, etc, as it will b...

Re: Using lawyer recommended by agent

We used a lawyer when we bought our house and although more expensive, I am glad we did. In Spain in particular if you are buying in the campo, it is important you have someone with the legal expertise to ensure your house is completely legal. Our abogado, pointed out to us that the house needed a D...

Re: Refilling my swimming pool

We had a similar problem, when we had work done on our pool and need it emptying. Decided the cost of using tankers was too expensive, so just used the mains water, took about 3 days or so to fill 50 cubic meter pool. Apparently, you are not supposed to do it, but I am sure most people do. If you ca...

Steve W, what a nightmare you had.

Using a lawyer recommended by a developer or estate agent, while not recommended, is certainly not illegal in the UK.

Re: Amazon Music Unlimited

Sorted it out, hidden away in Amazon Music page my country location was set to the UK. Changed it to Spain and it all went through ok. Wouldn't touch Apple with a barge-pole, over-priced and over-hyped. If I hadn't been able to setup Amazon Music Unlimited, would probably have gone for Spotify. Not ...

Yes, I have done that, but still the same. The actual message I get on the Amazon Music site is:- The payment method does not match the country Pick a different country or add a different payment method that has a billing address in Spain . However, I am using my Spanish Current Account with my Span...

Re: Rental deposit return

I personally wouldn't wait for him to come up with any extra charges. He has had long enough to figure how much he thinks you owe him. When did you leave the rental ? The water bill normally comes in every 2 months, so if it is more than two months since the last bill, he will have received the new ...

Amazon Music Unlimited

I have been trying to subscribe to Amazon Music Unlimited, but when I goto pay, it says that it is not available in my country, (Spain). I find this very strange as on Amazon.es there is a link to subscribe to it and it lets you go through the process of selecting which variant of it you want and ge...

Re: Changing Residencia Nationality

Irish passports are only issued to irish citizens, also if you have an Irish parent, which I have, you are automatically an Irish citizen, which is something I didn't realise until I applied for the passport. So have dual citizenship. I have only been in Spain for 3 years, so have not got permanent ...

Re: Good DNS Provider

[quote="Paulinmalaga"]https://www.smartdnsproxy.com/

or mail smarty and ask them for a better price.

Are they likely to reduce their price?

Smarty are charging $40 plus VAT...so about $50.
Smartdns proxy also quote $40.....not sure if that includes VAT, assuming not.
