Don’t need stats. Just look at the hospital wards.

Re: Coronavirus
That is correct. Better treatment and improved knowledge results in fewer deaths.
The problem is the overwhelming hospitalization rate and it’s impact on other surgery. Also while death is a bad outcome, permanently scarred and damaged lung tissue is pretty unpleasant and life shortening.

Re: Coronavirus
I agree, Katy. I think, sooner or later, we will all have to get it and get over it ... or not. That's the tough bit — the 'or not' bit. My doctor friend says you wouldn’t say that if you worked in a hospital. Yes, for the majority it’s a flu. For a significant minority it’s pneumonia with worse lu...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?
Oh what joy this will bring. And probably 70% of those affected are unaware of the calculations. I’ve used the checker to plan next years visits and then “sanity checked” by manually going back 180 days from the final day of each trip. Shame I will no longer be able to do mid April to mid July and m...

I prefer this one as I got strange results with that one given some inputs. In any case worth a double check.

Re: Travel Covid requirements
Telegraph reports today that after Jan 01 the uk will not be on the Covid approved list. Potentially that means no entry for Brits until the uk Covid rate falls below the eu average rate in June. Norway has already confirmed no entry for Brits after Jan 01 except in extenuating circumstances. Hopefu...

Yes, after summer 2028. Plenty of opportunities for infrequent travelers with passports issued before summer 2018 to enjoy passport control problems.

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?
Oh, so there’s no way backpackers from USA etc. can visit Schengen for longer than 90 days in 180, unless studying or working? Hadn’t realised that so thanks. Looks like, as per Vinny we’ll have to alter our trips. Good old Brexit!

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?
Our usual visit pattern would be mid April to early July (80days), mid September to mid November (60 days), and other visits to Spain and or other Shengen countries (20 days). So over a year, less than 180 days. BUT, with the 90 in 180 day rule I am assuming that travel profile is prohibited because...

Well my trip back in April is on the cap finistere so hopefully it will be tarted up by then. I prefer the fried eggs but the scrambled were quite good and not watery.

Re: Driving to Bilbao
Several road blocks on our drive up but they waved Brits through. Stayed at the Tudanca Spa in Aranda de Duero. Superb view of the vineyard! €117 halfboard for two including that bottle of red and two glasses of blanco. Book direct not through Booking.com bandits. Brittany ferries dismal. So low on ...

I’m lucky. Retired, no need to go to indoor bars and restaurants or public transport. I feel for those who have to commute, then work in customer facing jobs all day.

Surely you’re allowed out of the municipality to shop? Here in Frigiliana we don’t have a supermarket and the nearest is in Nerja.
