Re: Heating your house !!

We have the Edilkamin EVO - can burn Huesos as well as pellets although we have only used pellets. Burner was not cheap but I certainly think it was worth expense.

Re: Heating your house !!

I have read these posts with interest. I am due to move into my house in Vinuela in the next couple of months and am getting quite obsessed with the heating debate, having previously had superb oil fired central heating in Ireland and I wondered if anyone there uses this method? The house I am buyi...

Re: Covid tests for travel

Good response……liked your optimism about matching locator form test purchase number to test result automatically. My experience relates to two recent trips to Scotland when there was only 1 supplier of tests….The NHS at a nicely inflated charge. When I received my test kit I had to call to register ...

Re: Vaccinations if not on Health System

My wife went to the Frigiliana health centre last week to find out what process was - she has Private Healthcare - was told that they will have a process in place by May to include those not on state system in vaccination process.

Re: Obtaining UK S1 Health Certificate in Spain

I too am Scottish and had no issue with my accent being understood !! I spoke with that department a few months ago to obtain a certificate on non entitlement to UK health care - all handled very efficiently and documents arrived within 2 weeks. All documents supplied were in both English and Spanish.

Re: Revolut card.

I too use Revolut and highly rate them. As I read it the change will only affect the Swift side of your account and it will only affect inbound non sterling transfers. Sterling transfers into Revolut will still continue as your local account - my sterling pension was paid in yesterday and no charge ...

Re: Best VPN?

Beqst solution I have found is UK Expat VPN - Client installed on firestick works perfectly for UK TV channels Started using Apple TV a couple of weeks ago and it works as well. Costs about £59 a year but totally stable and no response issue. I also use on mobile and iPad. I also use the free servic...

Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

I simply exchange from GBP to EUR within my account at the interbank rate and then transfer to my Spanish Bank Account. I actually used it to buy a car which saved me money. Money arrives same day - sometimes within minutes. You are only charged a fee if you exchange at weekend or in evenings when m...

Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

Don’t know if this will help - when I left the UK last year to live in Spain full time I set up a Revolut Account. This works really well - set up as a GBP and Euro account. My UK pension is paid into it every month and I can then transfer to my Spanish bank account when exchange rates are favourable...
