Re: Noisy neighbours and 'abandoned' dogs

In this case, the Don Corleone division would be much preferred I suspect.

Re: Masks to be mandatory from next week in Andalucia

If masks are so important for virus control why were they not enforcing the wearing of them 3 months ago? The Leaders of the world are racing from one issue to another like headless chickens. The more democratic a country the less people will endure these North Korea tactics. We are not sheep. Exac...

Re: Disposal of old engine oil

You use a lot of oil, eh? A 5l bottle would last me several years.

But thanks, if they are not strict about what containers the oil has to be in, I can hopefully find some of the big 5/6l water bottles, or buy as a last resort.

Re: Disposal of old engine oil

Is there an easy place to find old/empty oil containers, for storing the old oil before taking it to the "Punto Limpia"?

The discussion is that without lockdown a country is NOT worse off AND still has their economy. That's all it's saying. No big argument.

That isn't true, is it?
Indeed. I can't help to think of this scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKjxFJfcrcA

Re: Coronavirus

At least Sweden has done whatever it did for the right reasons. One of the reasons that The World Health Organisation banned the use of hydroxychloroquine was probably because Donald Trump said he was using it. It has been more concerned with vilifying the highly qualified scientists who were advoc...

Re: when are car repair garages open again?

My regular garage has been open for a while. Yesterday I went to visit a car body works shop to talk about a job I need to have done, and it was open too.

Re: Coronavirus

I think everyone now agrees that masks help reduce the risk of infection, and different masks help to varying degrees. E.g., the N95-rated masks, if you can get one, filter considerably more and smaller particles than the plain surgical masks, but both help. Correct usage also helps. The longer one ...

Disgraceful. I am almost (but not completely, thank you) lost for words. This is exactly the reason why I want to get some tinting on the windows I have facing the street.

Re: ITV whats going on NOW

Can't belive you'd be forced to scrap the bike if you have a odometer that shows the wrong km. When I was a wee boy the "known" procedure for this was to attach the odometer to a power drill, but don't know how many weeks that will take with your kms. ;-) Surely there are standard procedures for how...

big empty parking lot or similar for car practice around Benalmadena?

Anyone know of any big empty areas conductive for a bit of practicing with a new car around Benalmadena? E.g. some big outside car park where the shops are closed on Sundays or similar?

If paid via credit card I would send an email to whatever address I could find at easyjet (or the airline in question), requesting a refund. Wait a week and If the airline refuses to give a refund, or does not answer, next step is to contact the company that issued you your credit card (a bank or cr...

Re: some idiot kids threw rocks at my car: body shop recommendations?

Ok, thanks for the warning. It looks like I will have to take a trip to the dealer anyway, as this morning a woman hit my car from behind while snailing through traffic. :-/ Quite similar to my own mistake last year, so I'm starting to wonder if that's an EUR 6,000 ache I'm feeling in my left earlobe.
