Re: Daily Express

I wasn’t referring to one person..just generally if you read those types of newspapers you are a certain type of person, one that is arguably not suited to living in Spain..unless you feel UK in the sun is all you want!....just saying

Re: Daily Express

Well if anyone still reads The Sun, The Mail etc after the damage they do to society on a daily basis you must be mad! And if you live in Spain and read them..you are a complete idiot!

Re: Antequera

We have had a house in Mallorca and southern France in the past and now thinking of Andalucia, we never visit in the height of summer though..too busy too expensive. The coast near Malaga doesn’t interest us at all, It is over developed and ugly, the beaches are very disappointing mostly.

Re: Almond trees

Thank you for the reply..The plot has at the moment, Olives, Holmes oak and fig trees. I haven’t noticed any almonds nearby..but its easier to spot them when they are in blossom from a distance. The plot is south facing and has the sandy type soil and did previously have a old lime quarry and kiln I...

Re: Almond trees

Thats great ..thank you for the reply. I assume you can buy different age / size trees too? Do you think the climate around Antequera is suited to pistachios? ...was also thinking of some vines....

Re: Almond trees

We are just thinking out loud at the moment..we have an area that needs a few trees and thought almonds would make a nice change..would be nice to harvest them also.

Town hall

Does anyone know if town hall work is being carried out? Maybe from home for some offices? I am waiting for a DAFO to be signed off so just wondering if anything like that is still being worked on.

Re: 10% Deposit for property

The deposit on our last sale was held by the estate agent until completion of sale which took about 3 months The 10% was held until completion? By an estate agent? Not heard of that one before. They certainly never had your best interests at heart, good job the agents never went bump, heart in mout...

Re: Holiday rental

The property will come with the certificate DAFO, I was wondering if its just a case of applying for the papers for tourism licence or can it be refused because of location maybe?

Re: Selling our rural house.

Not sure if this is correct, my lawyer in Mallorca told me this...after a period of time 6 years I think and as long there are no infractions listed against the house it cannot be demolished. You cannot get a licence to renovate or perform maintenance unless you have a SAFO/dafo . This doesn’t legal...

Holiday rental

This is a hypothetical question..if I was to buy a rural property and decided to rent it out as a holiday rental during the summer while I was away what do I need to do in order to have a license? Can anyone get one? Are there criteria to meet?

Re: Selling our rural house.

So seller said ok..I will get a DAFO / SAFO, he has paid for architect inspe...
