Re: Desktop - Install Windows 10 Home.
I am also a linux mint user - i 'upgraded' my dell inspiron 1150 - its a much quicker OS than windows on that old machine, even tho i upgraded the ram. As for your win 10 desktop - i downloaded win 10 from MS onto a USB (cos i did it at work one day) and then when i was installing it on my pc at hom...

Re: Masks on the beach
Quite likely @firsttango - there have been tourists visiting Spain for years before that, but I´m talking about the "mass tourism" and cheap Ryanair flights. you never really used to see that 20 years ago. Going on holiday was a once or twice a year event, now (pre-covid / brexit) you coul...

Re: Crossing Regional Borders
I´d have to agree with that @fincalospinos - I was in the car park next to that on Saturday, and i commented to the wife about how many there were, it was a surprise to see so many foreign plates there - The police say that theres no way they have the manpower to enforce things, but you imagine that...

Spain as a whole doesn't *need" tourists. Yeah i bet they don't. no no.. hear me out - I say that spain as a whole doesn´t "need" tourists.. because think about it.. the streets of Malaga / fuengerola etc were always full of Spanish people before (20 years ago) and there were a...

Re: Desktop - Install Windows 10 Home.
You can download win 10 from microsoft themselves now, you just need to buy a code. But then win 8 is upgradeable for free i believe, so you can use your win 8 code. I did it for the first time the other week, until recently ive been on xp ! I was amazed how fast and easy they have made it. And it s...

Re: pollen / Costa Tropical winds
I suffer mainly in the mornings, waking up with it. It affects me sometimes late in the evenings too.
Its strange, we live in the campo, surrounded by trees, but sleep with all the doors and windows closed.
When i lived in town it was much less.

Re: The 90 day Allowance & Deportations?
All the people who drive around with foreign cars after 3-4-10 years, paying no road tax, working for cash should be deported, they are only hurting the economy here in spain, wether they are brits or otherwise.

'Google GO' - a fantastic new app for translations !

Get google go from the app store, press translate, take a photo of the paperwork or sign or anything that you dont understand, and a few seconds later you get a translated version that you can look at, or have it read back...

Re: Estate agents in malaga east with 'fincas' on their books?
We are in that area for about a week of every month, my gf has family there. Theres houses for sale next door to them, overlooking the beach for 140k, but they dont have gardens - I´m looking for something that I can have a little garden - only around 1000m2, but finding that is difficult. We saw on...
