There is chatter on a local forum that a couple have travelled from Spain and staying with relatives as they came solely to UK get the vaccination. Probably valid as real names and locations forum.

Some did not attend in UK either. Johnson&Johnson now being investigated for blood clots etc. Should be ok though, it's not British  From the Guardian The EU’s drug regulator is reviewing reports of rare blood clots in four people who received Johnson & Johnson’s Covid-19 vaccine and h...

Re: Travel Covid requirements

An interesting account of a family travelling back to the UK for a short break: https://english.elpais.com/trans_iberian/2021-04-09/i-just-took-a-two-week-trip-from-spain-to-the-uk-with-my-family-heres-what-it-was-like-and-what-it-cost.html Certainly looks like a logistical nightmare of tests, expe...

Re: Travel Covid requirements

I don’t think they will be allowed through the border unless resident. I have been thinking seriously of changing our Malaga flight to Gibraltar in June. We stayed at the Rock hotel before for a Bar Mitzvah and it was ok. Fantastic view of the bay, ships going too and fro all the time and the Rif mo...

Australia still complaining that Brussels have blocked their orders. Now revealed that the UK has sent 700,000 doses to Australia although a UK Minister said a few weeks ago they hadn’t sent any.

Like it or not vaccination proof will come through the back door via airlines and cruise ships.

Re: Travel Covid requirements

I think the under 65 group you referred to still had to be key workers. It's a small group as most people in that group have retired so no longer qualify. When I had my jab this week it was Pfizer whereas a couple of weeks before, my wife had Moderna. I was surprised how many no shows there were wh...

I'm not aware that you have to pay for a text in the UK, I just returned from the US and I have to take a text but no charges and I equally have travelled to Spain in March and on my returned to the UK I have to take the text but no charges for the services. :?: :?: Do you mean test rather than tex...

Re: Get your food from the UK soon.

I wonder what they were thinking opening at such a time it was always going to be a gamble. At one time it was portrayed that the Uk would be the one to suffer shortages or not be able to afford European exports due to the Euro predicted to drop below parity. We have a shortage of cat food here, esp...

France gives free testing, available at any pharmacy. Daughter has returned to UK but there is then a fee to pay the Government £175 for 2 tests after entering (plus quarantine). The first test kit arrived by post the day after she arrived and there is another one at some point. I worked out to go t...

I have never gone with that saying being a guest in a country, unless they are receiving full benefits and health care. What next taking the knee.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

Don't know if it is only certain areas but France has an 8 week gap now. Seems it has been found to be more beneficial now for a longer interval. Our local surgery is calling those due for their second jab 2 weeks early, don't know why. Not long ago that the UK was being mocked for the gap, especial...

Didn’t know Supersol was owned by Lithuanians. Our Supersol in Marbella was awful too. Dirty floors, out of date cereals etc and if picking any fruit hundreds of fruit flies shot out.

Re: The 90 day Allowance & Deportations?

Surely by driving about with Uk plates / no MOT - when you are a resident is reason enough to stop and confiscate? As I said they do not have the resources, extra Police, admin for paperwork, cost of towing them away etc. In other words it is cheaper to ignore them. Not every British car is illegal...

Re: Masks on the beach

There was Clarksons and Lyons tours. in the 70s and plenty of Brit bars in Fuengirola...and expats.

Spain as a country may not need tourists but what would Andalucians do without it. Doubt they would want to work picking olives.
