Re: Travel Covid requirements

I like a bit of luxury when I go away. A motor home would be ok for travelling but would like a base on arrival.

Even if a country is green there is still a test needed to enter UK....and another after 2 days.

TUI has cancelled holidays again for Spain, Greece and Portugal etc.
We had 3 tests for Gibraltar.
Arrival free
Departure £30
DAY 2 £44
No quarantine.
A few people I know have ignored it anyway.

Re: Travel Covid requirements

Hope my experience is as good as yours Katy in the next coming weeks, roll on the day when we can board a flight with proof of vaccine as they can in Europe.Teresa May is 100% correct right when she said we have gone backwards instead of forwards. Yes, probably the only time she has been right :lol...

Re: Certificate for proof of Covid vaccination

And people wonder why I am fed up to the back teeth with this third world country and want to go back to England..! If you think England is going to be more efficiently run than here then I think you're in for a shock. Certainly GP wise, we are far better off here with telephone appointments availa...

Re: Documentation to Enter Spain as a Tourist

Doesn’t work like that, you are allowed 24 hours to be tested. Seeing that 2 planes landed we got a taxi to hotel and went back the next morning. Also no hanging around, result comes by text and email. We queued for around 5 mins and it is in the open air. The only others around were some of the Arm...

Re: Documentation to Enter Spain as a Tourist

Gibraltar requires everyone to take a test on arrival (free at airport, result in 30 mins). It may not apply to onward travellers to Spain but perhaps best to check it out.

Re: Travel Covid requirements

Just when you think it can't get any more ridiculous!. Some who have just left for Portugal are faced with cutting their holiday short or going through the palava of tests and quarantine. Yet flights are coming into the UK from all over the world. Looks like another year written off. Another week, a...

Re: Travel Covid requirements

Said in the Telegraph that more variants have been found in Portugal, not to mention the Nepal one. Will be the final nail in the coffin for the Tourist industry. Must be thousands who have booked to go there thinking no quarantine needed. Then there is the risk of things changing whilst abr...

Re: No tourists until after summer

I was going to ask if anyone had noticed an increase in tourists around Malaga province. I suppose most can afford the high costs of tests to return as we have been locked down for 4 months and nothing to spend our money on.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

I see that the EU has just passed AZ new cancer pill for early lung cancer, hopefully Macron and Leyden wont be rubbishing it. Spanish news has conflicting reports, one is saying there are plenty of vaccine supplies and another there are shortages. I don't think I would be happy to mix brands, rathe...
