Reporting Telefonica/Movistar to the European Commission

Not sure if this subject should come under "you & the law in Spain" however if the law in Spain states that it is legal for a telephone company to steal (yes, steal) from customers then I would like to report them to the right person/body in Brussels. Does anyone know how to report and who to report...

Re: Lawyer in Marbella to do a will

Hi Julian

Thanks for your response. I would like a Will that states who I am leaving my stuff to but also, most importantly, who I wish to care for my children. Is this something you do directly at the notary if it is a little more complex than property and assets?

Cheers

Lawyer in Marbella to do a will

Morning - something I have been putting off for ages and ages however I need to face facts and get a will done. Can anyone recommend a lawyer in Marbella (I speak spanish fluently so doesn´t have to be bilingual) and give me an idea of how much it costs to get a spanish will done.

Cheers

Eurovision voting - 1.39€ Spain - 15p from UK

Yesterday we watched the competition switching between spanish tv and english to get the different commentaries (Graham Norton in the UK and I´m not sure who it was in Spain). Then we noticed the voting charges. To vote from the UK from a BT line it cost 15p per call, to vote from a spanish landline...

Can you freeze fresh cheese?

I´ve been given a rather large piece of queso fresco de cabra and have opened the packet and, as much as I love the stuff, its impossible to eat it all .... sooooooo wondering if I can freeze it. Anyone know?

Looking for good call company for calls to UK

I currently use Direct Dial Telecom for calls via landline and Skype for internet calls and have been for the last few years but now looking to update and wondered if there are any recommended landline companies (you know the ones where you put the code in first) to call primarily the UK. Not really...

Looking for a club with restaurant and pool

I´m not sure if this exists but does anyone know of a club that you can join that has a pool, bar, restaurant, kids play area etc etc etc? Somewhere you can go and spend the day and meet up with other people and the kids can play around and that also has a restaurant / bar where you can grab a sandw...

Re: Corte Ingles needs competition

Well, I have to say, I am hugely surprised at the positive feedback the Corte Ingles is getting. My only experience of Corte Ingles is the store in Puerto Banus and the store in the centre of Marbella (which I have only used for the food shopping in the basement). Its one of those places where I alw...

Re: Corte Ingles needs competition

Sid

How much online shopping is there in Spain? I haven´t come across much and would prefer to shop online rather than trudge around shopping centres and the likes of Corte Ingles when looking for stuff. A list of reliable online shopping sites for Spain would be ideal.

Corte Ingles needs competition

Is it just me or does anyone else out there think that one department store in a country this size is ridiculous. It appears Corte Ingles have the monopoly and Corte Ingles are rubbish - rubbish customer service as well as expensive prices. We need John Lewis here to show them how department stores ...

Re: Marks & Spencer Marbella

I was interviewed for a role there. Its opening in November. Not sure what the pay is like in the UK but pretty low here given they are requesting bi-lingual skills. Curious to know what exchange rate they will use. If its anything like Accesorize then its worth the drive down to Gib instead.

Law against posting for sale sign in car

We have a car to sell in Marbella and people tend to park them (totally legally and not disruptive in any way) on a street by Supersol / BP garage in Marbella. So we put a sign in our car and parked it down there only to find it fined the next day with a bright yellow sticker stuck on it by the poli...

Looking for male spanish water dog

I have a female spanish water dog who I believe isn´t a pure water dog (she is small) although we were told she was a pure one. She has a wonderful personality and is a real cutie and as a result I have about 5 friends and family who are all wanting one of her pups. Trouble is I don´t know any male ...

Does anyone know if you can download the contacts list from a Nokia 3110 phone? I´ve googled the subject and haven´t come up with anything good. I´ve also tried going through where I download my photos but it doesn´t give me the option to go to my contacts. Any hints and tips would be much appreciat...

I used to go to a great hairdresser who worked in a salon in Elviria called Tracey. I haven´t been for a long while and just called up to make an appointment and she no longer works there. Fuming at British Consulate in Madrid passport costs

Sorry but I have to vent. I need to renew my passport and went onto the ukinspain website for the British Consulate to find out how I can do it from here. I couldn´t find the cost of how much it would be on their website so called the consulate, pressed all the right numbers to get me through to a r...

Re: Mobile homes

Thanks for all your responses. I´m actually looking to buy the mobile home (as in the unit) to put on my own land. For transportation costs it would obviously be cheaper for me to buy one here than have to buy one in the UK.

Taking a puppy to UK - quarantine???

I´m hoping someone can help me here. My sister would like me to take her a puppy to the UK when I go at Christmas as she is looking for Spanish Water Dog and, apart from being very expensive in the UK, its questionable about how inbred they will be. I will be driving up and wondered if anyone knows ...
