Re: Coronavirus

Havent seen anywhere about problems being stored up or happening with washing hands too much or aggressively. I have a friend who works in a food environment with customers. Her hands are now in a right state.. Anyone having trouble with masks. Use a valved one. Meets the law except at the ITV stati...

Re: UK Mobile WiFi - Question

A few observations telboy. 20 meg download of Movistar Fusion product. Surely that is adequate for anything like tv streaming? 75% of Spain will be covered by 5G by end of this year. My hope is that Movistar “ upgrade us 2nd class campo citizens “ for free. We still have a mifi we use(d) a lot on ou...

Re: Radio Fusion Inicia

Thanks for that Mark. I do indeed have an Amazon firestick. I deliberately havent wheeled it out while I have been trying to get smart dns proxy working on either router in case the Apps get “ poisoned” through being outside area. I am now thinking my old router is faulty. Next stage is to set up a ...

Re: Radio Fusion Inicia

I bet it is a culture shock and a relief to be back. Thanks for the info. Current situation is that the router works well and has for nearly three weeks. I plugged the phone into the router and that works but we will probably never use it. I had a pm which was helpful. I am now going to do a reclama...

Re: Almunecar Restaurant

That was a great recommendation Sid. Thanks. We really enjoyed our meal.

Both La Herradura and Almunecar are lovely. Suspect they wouldnt be if they had fine sandy beaches.

Enjoyed the drive down from Suspiro del Moro into Almunecar.

Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

A good question to ask is how does it work the other way round.

E.g. French person living resident in UK. Shopping online for their parents back home, paying income into a French bank .

Almunecar Restaurant

In a few days time we will be doing the magnificent drive from Suspiro del Moro down-to the coast and back. Looking for a lunchtime restaurant in or near Almunecar recommendation from anyone in the area. Fish Atmosphere, maybe nice views. Covered parking or underground parking nearby Looking on Trip...

Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

What is getting at me is the way that everything that is not working like it should is being blamed on the pandemic. You cannot buy a garden chair, or a shed, or a face-to-face appointment with a doctor, Citizens’ Advice office, a flight to/from where you want, when you want it....the list goes on....

Re: Radio Fusion Inicia

Still showing on smart Dns proxy login ad “setup”.iplayer and all4 dont work . Need deleting and reinstalling when I have smar...

Radio Fusion Inicia

Having experienced unlimited 70 meg internet in the UK , I decided to consolidate our products and go for Movistar bundle. Unsurprisingly Movistar haven't covered themselves in glory. I dare say this isnt the norm. Ordered the radio product 4 th August. Since then I have been through the initial pro...

Re: Road Trip

My good school friend often recounts his dad taking him on holiday to Spain in 1963. That was in an Austin A40. They called to see a relative first ( a nun in Belgium) . He remembers how many of the roads were gravel and specially going over the Pyrenees .

Re: Road Trip

Leisurely? Roughly 2000 km so 20 hours driving approx. What we find is it is hard to balance stops and sightseeing with covering ground. For example make a detour to take in an historic town and you have lost 200 km of journeying. You could visit the Don Quixote windmills ( detour off the Granada to...

Re: Coronavirus

Agree Wicksey ,you have got to have a life and I think you can do this by being careful. We went out for a meal on Friday night at a nice new restaurant in our local town. We didn't have a reservation and they said they were fully booked outside but we could sit inside if we didn't mind. Customers h...

Re: Coronavirus

99% of customers have known how to do it for at least 3 months! What a ridiculous comment. Newly empowered Hitlers, you must be joking. Their staff are the most friendly and helpful that I have come across in a Spanish supermarket. Sid 99%? Well I have only been back a month. There will be lots of ...
