Re: New restrictions extended??
Good point . I thought it was 1 to 14 days with symptoms showing 3 to 5 days but who knows. It might fit the narrative i.e. fear of god lets get vaccinated.

Re: New restrictions extended??
Well it is here. Local swimming pool bar had usual Easter. Lots of youngsters doing what kids do. Got CV19 , took it home. Now infections have rocketed . Funny thing is we cant go there except it is our postal town so can to collect packets. So we will be back in perimetral lockdown but Johnny forei...

Re: Pool cleaning
Very interesting. Thanks I am going to order some of the floc gel. There are a bewildering number of the robots and as you say not cheap even offsetting the reduced electric cost. Any idea how durable they are? My pool shark works just as it did new. I am a bit concerned about something that gets se...

I am stating the obvious but testing needs to be free and simple. As simple as say measuring blood pressure, oxygen levels, temperature. We keep being told CV will be with us forever.

Re: pollen / Costa Tropical winds
Yes masks help. Been wearing them for years. The proper ones, not the free blue ones. Now no one notices! It is all a question of degree. Using flu as an example. Some people get it and feel a bit under the weather but keep on going. Others can be at deaths door. Masks dont stop pollen getting in yo...

Re: UK and Spain income tax situation after Brexit
Oh they are pretty good at finding stuff. They found 2.40 euros worth of undeclared interest on dormant UK building society accounts I had forgotten about - 2016 tax year. Not easy to close dormant accounts. I have observed that Hacienda are good at churning out demand letters but poor at responding...

pollen / Costa Tropical winds
We always leave the poniente area each year in may to escape the worst of the pollen season. Primarily olive but also holm oaks and broom. Leaving Spain or going to the north isn't (currently) an option so we are looking at accommodation on the Costa Tropical within Granada province. While there is ...

Third wave, fourth wave ? I saw a joke somewhere along the lines of which is the odd one out? A German, Frenchman, Swiss man or a Spaniard. Answer is the Spaniard. He can’t even leave his province whereas the rest can go to Spain on holiday.

That is good to hear.
One section of society getting their travel and holidays in while Spaniards and Spanish residents cannot even leave the province they live in.

Re: Gestor held dig certificate
Thanks. I wonder if this project is a way for gestors to wrest work back from an ever more literate and computer literate populace? Having got your certificate, say you go in to ask for a printout of your work record- they ask are you applying for your pension? Shall we do it for you? How many times...
