Re: Somewhere to go?

Malaga centre is lovely to wander around. We like the fish and veg market area of Malaga. A nightime drink on the roof terrace of the high hotel near the harbour is a treat. Sorry cannot recall the hotel name .

Re: Somewhere to go?

I have put that in my little book.

I thought and hoped it might be a thread on peoples suggestions of places to go, perhaps somewhere unusual rather than the usual well known highlights.

Maybe now we can travel again folk can post on here with tips on parking, where to eat etc

Re: No tourists until after summer

Easyjet are puting on domestic flights that they haven't done for years eg Liverpool to Bournemouth. They obviously think people will be staying at home. Pamela1, same thing happened to me with the the Ryanair change of flights. I was getting charged for seats and bags which I had paid for. Went on...

Re: Coronavirus

I will be interested to see the excess deaths figures for the coming years. Hopefully by then deaths due to Covid will be low ( barring any new variant flare ups) but I suspect the excess will still be higher than normal. Poor lockdown diet and lack of exercise. Deaths from illnesses not diagnosed a...

Why wouldn’t you go away in a caravan or motorhome? Virtually the same risks as being at home.

That doesn’t bode well for the much anticipated change from amber to green travel ( UK Spain)

Re: Travel Covid requirements

 This stopped being about Covid a very long time ago. The government, at least in the UK, know they have dug a very big hole for themselves but they keep digging rather than admit making huge mistakes well over a year ago. People are waking up in huge numbers but there are still millions of pe...

Re: Travel Covid requirements

Ridiculous cost. Weeks ago I said it should be free or very little. It is just money making. Imagine having to be tested for flu or chicken pox to go on a train

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

I think none of us fancy being guinea pigs. On balance with the carrot of international travel and OH has underlying health conditions, no brainer.. I feel fine today. I am now fairly sure my brother, then my dad, then me had Covid March last year. Don’t know if you have worse side effects from the ...

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

We have just got back so couldnt attend our appointments in May. Went to health centre on Monday and got appointments. I had first jab (pfizer) yesterday and second one in three weeks. 40 people all with same appointment time….. 15 minute wait afterwards. Arm is a bit sore and I felt out of sorts th...

Just a reminder that smart dns type services don’t work well with 4G/3G internet as the IP address changes regularly.

Re: Travel Covid requirements

Just when you think it can't get any more ridiculous!. Some who have just left for Portugal are faced with cutting their holiday short or going through the palava of tests and quarantine. Yet flights are coming into the UK from all over the world. Looks like another year written off. Another week, ...

Aren’t they mixing and matching? I read somewhere you could ask for a different vaccine to your first dose of AZ. Might have been in Ideal online.

Our local hospital is now doing first jabs for those born in 69 and 70.

Re: No tourists until after summer

That meme is very funny! I suspect the airports will want the minimum of hassle and will just wave folk through with a cursory inspection. Why should airports be the “ health police”? The EU digital certificate aka covid passport will be available by 1 st July. More immediate concern is the news tha...

Got to see the race but it was boring. Only one overtake ( schumacher on Mazespin) .

Ludicrous race to still be in the F1 calendar.

Re: Monaco F1

Thanks Mark. I suspected as much. We are up your neck of the woods at the moment, well sort of ( near Llanes). We brought our Firestick and I have a subscription to DNS so will get the F1 via catch up. The house we rented has 140 meg down fibre and 101 meg up. It is my least favourite race. Very gre...

We have had a number of one off items made by our metalista from our drawings or on site with his welder. He is rubbish at doing anything promptly but the quality and price are good.

Monaco F1

Does anyone know please if the race and qualifying are going to be on free Spanish TV.? If so what channel and what time. I don’t mind if it is delayed highlights. Probably the qualifying will be the highlight of an otherwise dull race weekend. That and who has the most flexible rear wing!
