Re: Alhambra area of granada

Evening visits restarting soon if not already.

If you haven't been before ( or for a while) , if you are going for the day it is well signposted from the ring road and the road takes you straight to car parking next to entrance

No.

Likewise ManchesterAl, they have had months to get ready for this moment. The price of tests is still way too high and slow.

Hi AndyLucyOne, The banks are covered in both small and large flowered broom at the moment. Looks reallynice. The older guys still collect a handful of the larger flowered broom to take home for-their loved ones. Makes a nice broom for her to complete the endless task of cleaning dust away. The mone...

Re: Leroy Merlin

Well we did an online complaint form on their website. We got a call on Sunday amazingly. No apology - Spaniards never apologise. Ever. The soft seating conjunto has been very popular. No **** Sherlock. That is why we have done our homework and ordered early knowing this would be a problem. Why did ...

Leroy Merlin

Early April we visited numerous outlets within our travel limits in Granada Province. The aim to buy new soft patio furniture, tables and chairs and a new parasol. Not the cheapest but Leroy Merlin had what we wanted all from one outlet so cheaper on delivery. Crucially patio conjunto was in stock (...

Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia

Probably more sociable and less aware! Normally on Mayday everyone goes “ to the country” and has a nice time. Typically thousands of folk, a family under each tree. Picnic, then wandering around chatting to people they haven’t seen for at least a week! We have just had San Marco. Big in the Genil v...

Re: Pro Innate Immunity or Anti Vax - Adverse reactions, Etc

I looked at one recently. In the 1 in 10 section the top of the list was Heart Attack! When you look at the interactions with other drugs and medical conditions that preclude its use, you could not take anything! Sometimes if you have two different medical conditions the drugs for one make the othe...

Re: Vaccine war with EU

Interesting that a number of European countries are buying the Russian Sputnik vaccine. Includes Germany 30 million doses. Last I checked it wasn't EMA approved.

Tied to tensions in Ukraine, the Russo German gas pipeline, part of a bigger experiment? Who knows.

Re: Pool cleaning

Inspired by this thread and with excellent PM guidance from El Cid, I went ahead and bought some of the gel and also a robot cleaner. I got mine from Quimipool. Super fast delivery. I haven't used the gel yet but I am sure it will do the job. Choosing a machine shouldn't have been too difficult but ...

Re: Vaccine war with EU

There is an element of deja vu withn that. We said the same things a few week ago. I was merely pointing out a couple of smokescreens the EU are putting up to divert attention from the real issues. Euronews reports this , not UK newspapers - in the possible pay of the Tories. Let us not forget that ...

Re: Vaccine war with EU

Agreed katy. It is very galling to have friends and relatives back in UK vaccinated and here in Spain still only hear of a few friends ( all older) o have had their jab(s). There are a couple of things Ursula is spinning. THe first is the legal action against AZ. What good will it do? The horse has ...

Bang goes chance of our municipality coming out of level4 stage 1 group 8 or whatever we are in. One of the local asparagus co ops has around fifty cases. Re: Thousands of British expats in Spain remain “exposed and unprotected”

As long as they realise that the P60 will not reflect the figures on the Spanish return! I use the actual pay for the calendar year, plus there may be a slight difference in the exchange rates if you use the actual amount received in euros rather than using a flat exchange rate for the year. There ...

Re: Thousands of British expats in Spain remain “exposed and unprotected”

My suspicion is that Hacienda have a dept that does these audits and justifies the manpower on miscreants rather than actual money recovered. The big tax evaders employ experts. I could pay 2000 euros to get justice but the amount is less than that.

Re: Thousands of British expats in Spain remain “exposed and unprotected”

2016? Might be part of a campaign. Well I have tried to do everything by the book. Have used a gestor to ensure no Issues with tax. I was audited for year 2016 six months ago. They found two “ errors” First I hold my hand up to. 2euros 80 of undeclared interest on a UK account. The second is a discr...

Re: Travel Covid requirements

There will no doubt be a two tier system. No curfew for tourists, bars open normal hours. Green corridors. The pesky restrictions are just for residents
