Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

I am resident in Spain, which, as I understand it, means that I can spend as much time as I want here, but that the 90 day rule still applies to the time I spend in the rest of the EU. The nearest airport is Faro, in Portugal. If I arrive there, presumably my passport will be scanned, and some comp...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Hola One of my members raised an interesting point; they have two British passports as they sometimes have to send the passport away to obtain a visa but need to continue travelling while their passport is away being stamped by a different country. I will leave people to consider this point (Google ...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Hola,

It is not the arrival in Spain, nor the days in Spain, but in the Schengen area in total; So if you visit other EU countries it will count towards your 90 days - this may concern people who drive to Spain rather than fly.

Re: Getting to airport

Hola

An easy drive to Gibraltar; there are no restrictions currently; my younger friend (with a back pack only) had instructions to walk out of the airport to the border (50 metres), cross the border and I will be there waiting. The car journey both ways was easy with very light traffic

Re: Getting to airport

Hola Back on track; I took a friend to Malaga airport yesterday and while the departures was busy, the arrivals was not with only 6 people waiting! Another friend arrived saying there were very few people on the flight from the UK. Today I collected another friend from Gibraltar airport and was told...

Re: Getting to airport

Hola

Malaga is not in lockdown so it depends whether you or your friend live in one of the lockdown areas. My guess is that Marchena is far enough away from Seville not to be in lockdown but I am not local enough to know definitively

Re: Curfew?

Hola

You sound like you don't get it; the government has asked us to take more precautions - we should, as responsible people, do our bit to ensure we don't spread the virus as far as possible. People are still dying from the virus; if we can reduce the spread of the virus, then we should.

Re: Curfew?

Hola Does no one realise that this is for your own good? The COVID-19 cases are rising and although the doctors have done a magnificent job, people are still dying from it. Be sensible, wear a mask whenever you can irrespective of what the law says; keep as far away from anyone not from your househo...

Hola

The AFO law was brought about by AUAN, an expat association based in the Almanzora valley. Their Solicitor is Gerado Vasquez in Almeria. You would be wise to contact him as an expert

Hola

Yes, a report will be filed by the local water company and a decision then made as to whether an AFO can be given

I don't know which area you are in, it may help if you need further advice

Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

Hola, As I said to a friend the other day, "I have never felt so unsettled as I do now" I don't know if it is the effects of Brexit, COVID-19 or a combination but normally I would have plans for things to do like holidays etc. at least 6 months ahead. I now have nothing at all planned or booked. How...

Hola, I am not shielding but am actively avoiding crowds; I go to ventas but to meet the odd friend and stay well away at social distance plus. I have been in a few peoples houses, but they are "trusted" friends. I am very conscious that I am a vulnerable person so while I will not take exceptional ...

Re: Uk state pension been underpaid to women

Hola, I think some have missed the point; a lot of the affected women have stopped work a few years early in the expectation that their savings will last them until the pension kicks in. The rug was taken from under their feet as they now have an extra five or six years to survive on their savings. ...
