Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

Hola, As I said to a friend the other day, "I have never felt so unsettled as I do now" I don't know if it is the effects of Brexit, COVID-19 or a combination but normally I would have plans for things to do like holidays etc. at least 6 months ahead. I now have nothing at all planned or booked. How...

Re: What is your new normal?

Hola, I am not shielding but am actively avoiding crowds; I go to ventas but to meet the odd friend and stay well away at social distance plus. I have been in a few peoples houses, but they are "trusted" friends. I am very conscious that I am a vulnerable person so while I will not take exceptional ...

Re: Uk state pension been underpaid to women

Hola, I think some have missed the point; a lot of the affected women have stopped work a few years early in the expectation that their savings will last them until the pension kicks in. The rug was taken from under their feet as they now have an extra five or six years to survive on their savings. ...

Re: How long has it been since you last filled up the car

Hola Yes under the current rules, we can travel outside our province but not out of Andalucía which is a very large area. To reiterate I filled up in the morning, drove five hours and filled up as I would not have sufficient fuel for the return journey. Now at the end of the five hour return journey...

Re: How long has it been since you last filled up the car

Davexf, you must either have a small tank, a terrible consumption, or you have gone outside your autonimous region! Hola How many hours can you drive on a tank full? my tank full does around 800 Kms so after five hours and nearing my destination, I refilled my tank for the journey home. I might add...

Re: importing questions

Squeezing into the thread (apols, Winston) to say "thanks dxf" for answering two of my own Qs. I suspected padron rather than residencia might be the trigger (although my UK plater originally had an ES plate and the gestor says it will go back to it and no reg tax is payable). What effect this lock...
