Re: Advice on notary procedure when selling house

Thanks to you both. Since my buyer's lawyer is agreeable to the payment in sterling, I am assuming that he knows that his choice of notary will have no objections. Hope this is the case.

Advice on notary procedure when selling house

Hello again I am in the process of selling my house and my estate agent is handling my side of the transaction whilst the buyer has a lawyer. My buyer wants to pay in £sterling which I have agreed to. My question is about what happens at the notary as I would like to be prepared. For example, if my ...

Can't get link to IBI bill

What has happened to the prpmalaga link that I used to use to see my IBI bill. Firefox won't connect because of security issues and Chrome just can't seem to connect to it at all. Is there a new link that I need to use?

Thanks all.

Trying to pay my IBI bill - problems

Hello all I am trying to pay my IBI bill via my Sabadell bank account and I am encountering a few problems which I hope someone can help me with. I know where to go to on the Sabadell website but it wants me to enter the emisora (issuing bank's no.). When I try to enter the 8 digit emisora number th...

Re: Dormidina sleep aid

My GP prescribed melatonin as a sleep aid. €24 for 30 tablets from the pharmacy which I think is quite expensive. How much is Dormidina?

lorazepam and driving

Does anyone know if you can buy lorazepam (Orfidal) over the counter in Spain and also whether Spanish law allows one to drive with moderate amounts of this in your blood?

Re: Fuera de Ordinacion

My neighbour said " I saw an article in July/August House & Home, a Streetwise production". I think it's a free magazine down on the costa.

Re: Fuera de Ordinacion

Thanks for that Beachcomber. I still do not know from this whether a DAFO is a legal requirement for completion of the sale of a rustic propery and whether this is truly a new law as stated in the magazine article. I suspect not.

Fuera de Ordinacion

A neighbour has just emailed me an article regarding a new law passed by the Junta de Andalucia that requires ALL property built on rustic land to have a certificate of fuera de ordinacion (DAFO) before completion can take place. This would appear to be the case regardless of whatever documentation ...

Re: Levadura

This information is all very interesting and I will follow your advice. I have just made some teacakes and they have turned out really well. I mixed the dough in the machine, then cut and kneaded the dough into eight teacakes. I used the Aldi levadura and they rose to perfection - not too much not t...

Re: Levadura

I must admit I have never used fresh yeast. Does it give a better result and how do I use it in making bread?

Re: Levadura

Thanks for that Wicksey - I didn't realise that breadmaking was so popular. So while we are on the subject, can anyone recommend a good source of wholemeal flour and also sunflower seeds?

Thanks so far.

Re: Levadura

Thanks Sid, I have recently bought a great book on breadmaking and hundreds of recipes. I intend to give it a go and as you say, the breadmaker can make the dough thus taking out some of the hard work. I'll report back if I come up with good results.

Re: Levadura

Thanks to you both so much. This site is fantastic. Yes Sid, that is the the same one I bought. Thanks Trooperman for the info about the fresh yeast. I have been using Lidl's breadmix packs but I really think that I could do better myself. I do have a breadmaker but I would like to try to branch out...

Levadura

I have just bought some sachets of levadura from Aldi (10 for 59c). Can anyone confirm that I can use this for breadmaking? It doesn't say for panadero so I am not sure yet until I try it.

New impressed concrete drive

I want to lay an impressed concrete drive and I estimate around 90 m/2. My house is in the campo near Velez Malaga/Torre del Mar. Can anyone recommend a reliable local contractor to carry out this work and also give me an idea of what price I would expect to pay for this work. Thanks for any help.

Re: Pool grout

I think that the cemex bag says it has limestone additive. Porcelain sounds as though it would do a better job. I really don't want any more problems with my pool. Over the last few years, the tiles have come off in their hundreds, hence the retiling job.
