AGM dates
By now we should have had our AGM. Usually held in August but a couple of years ago it stretched to early September. However, we have had no notice of one and I have e:mailed our administrator 3 times over the last few weeks when we can expect to have one held. To date I have not had a reply despite...

Re: Garages being auctioned/sold
Thank you all for your replies. To cut a long story short some owners bought extra spaces as they had two cars but there was a trade off on the houses that were not built as a BBQ area was built which infringed (only slightly!) where phase 2 would have been built. At an AGM it was agreed as he owned...

Garages being auctioned/sold
We are a small community of 14 houses. Originally 2 phases, 14 with a further 14 at a later date. These were deemed illegal and not built. There are 28 garages and some owners have two. One man has several under a company name and has started auctioning/selling these off. My question is.... is it le...

Re: Money transfer company
Have used HiFX for years now and no problem. Provided you transfer £4000 it's free.Obviously if you transfer more you get a better rate. It's usually in our Spanish bank the same day or the next.

Re: Renewing expired ITV
Sorry for the delay in replying and many thanks for the replies! Yes I did find using the last 6 digits worked. However I have chickened out and asked the local garage to arrange the appointment and take it for us, which they have done for next week. Fingers crossed!

Renewing expired ITV
Our Spanish car is in the community garage and comprehensively insured. Due to unforeseen circumstances the ITV due in June has lapsed. I have tried to book this before we return to Spain in November rather than wait until we get there. I have entered the registration number and the original registr...

Does it make any difference if the apartment/house is registered as a company as opposed to an individual? If so, is it easier to sue a company?

Thanks for that Zanuck. In fact I have just had a look at what I have on my laptop and found an 2 IBI bills for 2011 for the house and the garage which I must have 'downloaded.' Goodness knows how I did it!

Re: Non resident tax and bank account
Hi alexander1, "TAXES 2013 (RENTA) 257,16 EUROS"............unless you have a very big villa with high catastral valor I would have queried this amount. Pull up the form and have a go at putting your figures in, you will need your IBI bill from last year. In fact you could just use your f...

Re: Non resident tax and bank account
I think the 'terrifying' refers to the form 210 not paperwork generally but that is a 'terrifying' amount to pay for something that is relatively easy to do yourself. Have you looked at the FAQ. You should not be scared to do it yourself and, remember, if your lawyer messes it up you are the one re...

Hi Shell1965, Following on from fyfin's post " I also have the solicitors copies for previous years and they look terrifying!!!!!"...... The only thing that is terrifying is the amount they want to charge for this amount of effort..... I'm a bit concerned as to the amounts of 'terr...

Re: UK non-resident driving Spanish plated car
If it has had an ITV then you must also carry the ITV report that was issued when it was last tested. The stamp on the Ficha Technica and the windscreen sticker is not sufficient. Sid Ye Gods :!: We only bought the car in November (last one was stolen from our underground garage) so we have not got...

Re: UK non-resident driving Spanish plated car
Thanks Enrique - yes we own the car.
Thanks dxf.
Do we need to have the insurance policy or would a copy of payment via DD from the bank be acceptable?

Re: FIRST AID KITS IN CARS
Sorry to bring this up again but as I can't find a definitive answer as to what should be in a first aid kit in the car and having asked at various petrol stations (none of which had first aid kits) I wonder if anyone can give me up to date information. Legally do we have to carry one? Many thanks i...
