Re: Red star icon

Enrique - I bet if you looked at the computer section, there would be some red stars ! They are in the blue/red edged circle (depending if read or not) to the left of the thread title, & just above the little lines that represent text... see them now ? ;-)

What about the clubs themselves - they may have second hand ones to sell for their members ?

This is because a child is given their father's family name as their middle name (surname) and their mot...

Re: Coronavirus

My FIL doesn't have a smartphone or internet, and doesn't know how to use it. I'm sure if he had tried when he was a bit younger he would have picked it up (he's 93 now but still very much with it). Now that the Dr's in the UK are like here and really don't seem to want to see anyone, when he had a...

Re: House sale payment to Bank (Sabadell)

We didn't have a mortgage, but when we sold our house, the lawyer transferred the monies to the relevant banks that we nominated. I think we all used Currencies Direct, so the money didn't go near a Spanish bank. When (ha ha) we get the retention back, that will go into the Spanish bank (Unicaja), w...

Re: Masks to be mandatory from next week in Andalucia

From BBC news website: "Professor Trisha Greenhalgh from Oxford University, who argued for widespread use of face coverings in April, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme the vast majority of scientists "are now persuaded by the evidence" that wearing masks in crowded places can reduce transmission. A...

Re: Made in China

Years ago, when I was living in the Philippines, I asked the maid if there was anything she would like bringing from UK. She really wanted an M & S jacket like one my Mum had when visiting, so I organised it. When it arrived from UK, I read the label - Made in the Philippines !
