Re: Masks to be mandatory from next week in Andalucia

From BBC news website: "Professor Trisha Greenhalgh from Oxford University, who argued for widespread use of face coverings in April, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme the vast majority of scientists "are now persuaded by the evidence" that wearing masks in crowded places can reduce transmission. A...

Re: Made in China

Years ago, when I was living in the Philippines, I asked the maid if there was anything she would like bringing from UK. She really wanted an M & S jacket like one my Mum had when visiting, so I organised it. When it arrived from UK, I read the label - Made in the Philippines !

Re: Made in China

I'm pretty sure there are some unions - hubby used to be involved with a timeshare resort on the Costa, & I remember him complaining about the power they had over 'bosses'. A union representative was entitled by law to have x no. of paid days off to attend meetings, but most of them took extra jobs ...

A little bit of humour to lighten your day (posted by a friend on FB)

Just seen a guy in Tesco buying a load of Estrella beer, Chorizo, Manchego cheese & packets of Paella.

(wait for it.....)

I thought "Hispanic buying".

Re: New CaixaBank fees ... time to change banks?

"My bank in the UK never tries to sell me anything." - you must have a very good bank, or times have changed ! When I worked as a cashier in a bank (admittedly years ago) it was sell, sell. sell ;-)

Non-res CGT - what can you use to offset this ?

I did do a search but all I found was for residents.

I have all the IVA invoices from the reform, which I understand can be used to reduce the gain, but what else can I claim ? The cost of electricity installation (a group scheme) ? fitting a kitchen ? Anything else ?

TIA

Re: Renta after sale

Thanks Beach, I think our CGT is quite low, so we will probably be going for a refund, but I will wait to do 2019 until I know for certain what is happening !
