Re: Car Sagging Roof Liner - Spray Adhesive Recommendation

They usually sag because the original foam lining to the fabric that was stuck to the roof, deteriorates over time and turns to dust. Spraying glue (somehow!) behind the sagging cloth so that the fabric now sticks to the roof liner is not a perfect solution by any means. The only effective course of ...

Re: Has anyone got any renault diagnostic equipment?

It's usually the yellow wiring connectors under the seats that are faulty or the ring connector that allow all electrics to pass up the steering column and through to the wheel (and its airbag). This is, of course, general and NOT Renault specific.

Re: DAFO

can we purchase and do the work applying for DAFO retros pectively ? You can purchase without a DAFO. Purchasing is not the point. A DAFO (declaracion asimilado fuera de ordinacion) - that's my spelling! - is a process that "regularises" a property built without proper planning consent an...

Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

That's how I read it, Gerry (and my circumstances seem to be identical to yours) There is an actual "or" between two and three, so perhaps one can assume, as you suggest, there is an implied "and" between one and two. Incidentally (it may have been noted in this thread way back) ...

Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

A revision from my previous post now that I've read it again! There is an "or" at the end of the second point: so does that now read "we can only close your account if there is access to another UK payment account AND you're not living in the UK OR you haven't used the account for two...

As reported by Gerryh, the Barclays T&Cs state: However, if you have a Barclays Basic Current Account, we can only do this if: • you have access to another payment account in the UK with basic features • you’re no longer legally resident in the UK, or • there haven’t been any transactions on you...

Re: Advice needed for log burner install

Most I have seen are female at bottom , male at top, then female goes on that and so on. [/i] Yes! If you do it that way, condensation within the pipe can (and will!) leak out at the joint and run down the outside of the pipe below. If your log burner has a connector on the top that only allows thi...

Re: Concrete slab

You'll need to design it won't you? And that will need to take account of its intended use (utility room again?) and the sort of building and location it's in. It sounds traditional to me from what you say: cavity walls don't exist in Spain as they do in the UK, so a stone bank will allow ground wat...

Re: Concrete slab

Concrete will not be the finished surface will it? If there are to be tiles put over the concrete, either ceramic or lozos de barro , then a dpc can be laid over the concrete and before the tiles go down, taking it part way up the walls before roda de pies go on. Ceramic tiles in themselves are a fo...

Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

Not strictly to do with bank accounts, but Barclays did withdraw "support" for the share trading account I had with them last December. I could still hold the shares with Barclays, but they would no longer accept any instructions to buy/sell/or whatever. Mind you, the amount of paper gener...

Trawling the 'net and found this:

https://personal.natwest.com/personal/c ... s_hub.html

It's dated 2020 at the bottom of the page. What's on the page seems straightforward,

Does anyone know if this can include those of us who might be losing out from Barclays or Lloyds?

Re: Olive Press

But is the journalism any good? It's usually spot on with up-to-date stories, but never covered in-depth, often leaving more questions that answers it gives! Compare with Sur in English which annoyingly has unchanged content day after day. I reckon that surfing between those two and El Pais in Engli...

I have found that most vets work alone! But should you want a reasonably good vet in Antequera ("reasonably good" because we haven't really tested him thoroughly yet!) we use Paco aka Leon. Haven't got an address but he's in the road at the side of Lidl and if you want his phone numbers, p...

Re: Tank and pump for house

Can't quite get my head around it as it was years ago now, that I had the same set-up, BUT for some reason and somewhere in the line, there was a non-return valve......but that may have been because it was set up to use village/mains pressure when available and only tank/pump when not. I'd have to d...

Insect zapping gadgets

Seems to be a plague of very annoying flies around at the moment. Has anyone got an exterior "Insectocutor" that works?....and that, thus, can be recommended? I've tried a chinese cheapie that does kill whatever lands on the enticing light, but which is ignored by the flies that still want...

Re: Deposit or well?

Hi! Complicated eh? You seem to have worked out some details correctly viz: the visible pump kicking in whenever the town water pressure drops below a certain level: in your case you say it's 1.5 bar. But where does that pump draw its water from when it "kicks-in"? If you've traced all the...
