Re: Somewhere to go?

I'm thinking about staying a couple of days there in August. We are also looking at moving on to Malaga city for a few days. Any views on that and is it worth it?
We will then move on to Estepona for a couple of weeks for a more relaxing time.

I doubt it. When you are so far down the rabbit holes no amount of logic or facts and figures will change any one's opinion.
This is the headline
Spain records 493,000 deaths in 2020, the highest number since the Civil War.

Re: 90 in 180 days

I am sure they have an electronic record. If not you could tamper with your passport and erase stamps. Also if not electronic how do they stop you entering via France and driving into Spain. All the EU must be on some electronic system. That’s the impression I get when I am going through passport c...

Re: Irish Passport/U.K. registered car/U.K.Driving Licence

It's having a Irish passport that is important so he is not restricted to 90 days in 180 and can stay in Spain as long as he wants. No IDL is needed for trips under 6 months. https://www.gov.uk/driving-abroad/international-driving-permit There's some more info here about Non EU plated cars in A.com'...

I think It makes sense that a non-EU citizen has longer because a Eu one could renew theirs much easier.

Re: Travel Covid requirements

To begin with, don’t confuse returning to the UK with entering Spain. The rules to enter SPain have been relaxed and no quarantine or even COVID tests are necessary. You will need to wear a mask while in public except on the beach. However, don’t confuse the relaxation of COVID restrictions with ext...

I don’t deal with the electric or gas so I didn’t realise until yesterday that the tariffs had changed for us as well.

Wife is now doing the washing machine at night. The problem is that she forgets to hang out the washing in the morning or tell me that there’s some in the machine.

Re: Out on UK passport back on Irish to Northern Ireland

One thought did occurr to me. If you registered as a resident using a British passport, would it be necessary to update those details using the Irish one?

Re: Out on UK passport back on Irish to Northern Ireland

If you have an EU passport, your situation hasn't changed due to Brexit. You do not need a TIE as you have the right to freedom of movement within the EU. I would definitely use the British one to enter the UK and The Irish one to enter the EU to avoid delays at the airport.. There are hardly any re...

Re: Coronavirus

Spain has handled the Pandemic in a different way to the UK and the restrictions were dependant on what could legally be imposed. Even then they have been far less severe than the almost total lockdown earlier this year in The UK. Apart from a few places, the current situation in Andalucía is far mo...

Re: No tourists until after summer

I have just spent the weekend in Madrid. Very warm weather and full of people. Pavement cafes were full from early and some bars were still serving after 11:30 pm. I had been told that mask wearing is lax but I didn't see any difference to Bilbao and most people were wearing them. I watched the matc...
