Re: Moving out of Andalucia - the cost of selling
Thanks for your comments, The estate agent fees are high in our opinion but it is the standard cost here, its the basic price and the same that 4 of our friends and neighbours have paid when they sold over the past 3 years. We knew the price when we agreed the price with the agent but they are ridic...

Moving out of Andalucia - the cost of selling
Just thought I would share the costs of selling our property in Canaillas De Albaida. Since we bought the property in 2007 there is has been lots of changes in the administration of things like water and tax. And I confess we didn't think to find out how much it would cost to sell when the time came...

Selling Property cost of transferring water registration
Hi all, I wonder if someone could clarify costs of transferring water bill to new owner. A friend has just accepted an offer on their property in Canillas de Albaida and have been told that the Ayuntamiento charge for doing the transfer is 6000 euro, yes 6000 euro! Apparently Competa charge a mere 8...

Re: Aer Lingus
Thanks all for responding, I agree Aer Lingus flights are good and were always full, I'm disappointed that they are not flying Gatwick to Malaga any more.

Re: buying adjoining land - excessive fees?
Given the costs we have been given for a change to our escritura these seem very reasonable. The notary costs were quoted as 400e in Torrox, so your costs see reasonable to me. Ali

Re: Legal or Not
I would endorse what beachcomber says DO NOT TRUST ANYBODY! We just found out that our pool isn't legal on our new build property which we bought 5 years ago because the project licence was only for a house which did not include a pool. The property was signed off by the town hall architect as compl...

Re: Retiring in Andalucia - maybe ?

I see people have mentioned looking at the area between Malaga and Nerja and I would endorse this. My 3 favourite places are Velez-Malaga about 7 minutes drive to the beach, its a lovely town ver...
