Re: UK moving companies
We used Matthew James from Almuñecar to the Midlands. 950 cubic feet, with insurance & company packing kitchen stuff, ornaments & pictures, it was about £2500.

Re: UK car insurance & no claims
After a lot of shopping around we've gone back to Direct Line. No ncb but they said if we stay with them they'll give 2 years next year instead of one!

Re: Renta 2018
Thank you Miro.
I have got [email protected] but my gestor told me he had to do it as I'm autonomo. Interesting re Bank..... and Hacienda!
I'm sure we had less problems moving to Spain than we're having leaving!!

Re: UK car insurance & no claims
Tried that..... but they won't accept it as we've been out of the UK too long! Won't take account Spanish no claims either, even though we're talking about Direct Line & Linea Directa!

UK car insurance & no claims
We're returning to the UK in February and need to insure a UK registered car in the UK. The problem is that a lot of companies won't take the no claims from Spain. Has anyone had experience of this and be able to suggest a company that might?

Renta 2018
I'm returning to the UK in February. I was registered as autonomo & paid tax for the tax year 2018. Legally I'll have to do the Renta but how? I would rather close my bank account before leaving Spain as it's nigh on impossible to do it from the UK, so I know I'll miss out on my usual rebate. Al...

Re: Removal companies
Thank you everyone.
We've had a couple of quotes based on me sending a list of our items.....so not entirely accurate. I'll have a look at Britannia next!

Removal companies
Not sure if I'm posting in the right place as I'm looking for advice on moving from Andalucia....
Planning to move back to the UK early next year and am looking for Removal Company recommendations. Ideally would like someone to pack too.
Thank you.

Re: Buying RHD UK registered car
Thank you...... didn't realise there was a market for LHD in the UK. Whether anyone would want to buy a 2007 registered one though....

Buying RHD UK registered car
We're seriously considering moving back to the UK and, as we have 2 cats, think driving would be the best option. Does anyone know of the best place to purchase a RHD estate car or similar as the idea would be to use it once back in blighty?

Aircon mystery
We have a Hyundai Matrix & in May the aircon stopped working adequately. OH got it regassed but it was no better. He took it back only to be told a new compressor was required. As it would cost 500€, he decided to get a second opinion. Our local mechanic has checked everything...... compressor, ...

I've been to the Science Park several times...... well worth a visit. Lots to do for all ages.
Re: Endesa
No, it's a new meter..... installed a few months ago. Hot water boiler's on a timer..... 7/11/17 - 17/1/18 953 kwhs 18/11/16 - 18/1/17 663 kwhs Even taking into account the extra 10 days this year, it's still a big jump. (I know it's not double...... but still a big difference..... I'm Gemini & ...
Re: Endesa
Do you mean the 'box' in the house? (sorry I'm a bit thick when it comes to this sort of stuff!).
I'll try it.......
I'll try it.......
Re: Endesa
Interesting......
The reading is from the meter. I don't think we'll be able to access the account on the website as the bill is in the Landlord's name....... they pay & bring us the bill to reimburse them.
Maybe a return visit to Endesa....

Endesa
We received our latest endesa bill which showed we had used double the amount of electricity compared to the same time last year!! We can't understand it as we've used the same appliances etc. According to the meter 2kwh were used overnight when the only things running were fridge, freezer & rou...

Re: Norwegian Air
I don't understand the logic of the powers that be at Norwegian Air......... have been trying to find a flight from Málaga to Birmingham for next month. Nothing for the whole of November so I contacted them, only to be told that they no longer fly that route!! You'd have thought Norwegian would have...
