Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Thanks Enrique and Beach - very grateful for your input I see that the app calculation example has been based on two weeks in Schengen early February, which I agree would give us 15 days still available in mid August, as those early February dates 'drop-off'. But my original post was to be in Scheng...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Thanks Enrique - the more brains we get on this, the better, and advice is always welcomed My thinking was for our potential time in Spain (worked out on the back of an old envelope, not on an app) Late February - say 15 days Early April - say 15 days Mid May to mid June - say 30 days Mid July to mi...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Hi ashtondav As you say, such a shame, but needs must...... We are similar, and have carefully planned a routine of five trips which gives us around 120 days in Schengen each calendar year, subject to Covid in 2021, but which complies with the 90/180 rolling days - mid to late February, early to mid...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Hi again ashtondav I think that I might be wrong in my last post I’ve now checked a couple of the Schengen apps and both ‘knock off’ days as they pass the six month point, so there is no indication that my assumption of the Spanish border authorities wanting to see evidence of a planned departure da...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Am I right in saying it would have to be closer to Late March to mid June (80 days). Wait 3 months then mid September to mid November (60 days) and then the other 20 days spread to fit the rules. Hi ashtondav We are in a similar position to you, and our lifestyle will likely have to change from a v...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

I don't think that - perhaps with the exception of the Golden Visa - Spain has the authority to issue their own visas, but thast Spain must comply with EU Schengen requirements, and hence the 90 days in any rolling 180 just as for example, Denmark, Portugal and France......

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Shes probably implying a reprecipical 6 month. There is non as you say bar working etc ones.Problem is its a schengen rule not a spain one. Uk made the choice to give EU people 6 months entry. But in order for spain to do it they either leave the schengen or the E.U as a whole agrees. Considering b...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Just a thought, but the Telegraph and Mail are dire on this and it's probably because they don't want to let their readers know what they conned them into. I'd recommend Simon Calder who writes for the Independent. Here's his latest: Your arrival date in the Schengen Area – which covers most EU cou...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Another article in Telegraph today if able to read it. Mainly covers people's comments. Interesting comments about the comments too. One good point was that if it is so important to stay longer why not get a 6 months Visa. Some blame Theresa May for agreeing to allow 180 days in UK in the withdrawa...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

I read a similar article in the DT the other day which stated that Portugal will be allowing Brits to stay 180 days without a visa, but of course you can spend that time there, but only in two lots of 90 days. It was not a well-written article. A lot of comments thought that you could go back to th...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Is that legal? And presumably entry and exits will be recorded electronically rather than by paper, as I think they are now by the passport checks by the National Police in Spain and by the Border Force on entry to the UK? althougth I still find it interesting that there are no checks (other than th...

Re: Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Thanks everyone for their helpful contributions - very grateful...... I have just received this from the Consulate in Madrid, and thought that it might be helpful to others - The EU has confirmed that it will grant UK nationals visa-free travel to the EU after the end of the transition period. This ...

Non-Resident 90 days in a rolling 180?

Advice needed por favour..... We have owned our house in Andalucia since 2004, and are non-resident with NIEs, currently staying there for less than 183 days in any rolling twelve months, have non-resident bank accounts, health insurance, contribute we guess around €20,000pa to the local economy, an...

Re: Roots in deposito

We had roots in our well, and over the past two decades had them removed on three separate occasions by our local contractor lowering himself some 20m down there. He cut the offending roots and cleared them out of the well, and added weedkiller to the remaining stubs, and blow torched any remaining ...

Re: BROADBAND

Hi

Very interested in this option, but when I tried to get into the Teamviewer website, both Firefox and Edge deny access because they say the website is not secure? How do we progress in these circumstances please?

Thanks in advance
