Re: Water
I believe in Andalusia now all ventas, bars, restaurants must provide free drinking water by law - this is often from a machine which is fine (and preferable so you know where its coming from). If they don't, ask why not. https://www.thinkspain.com/news-spain/30011/free-drinking-water-in-andalucia-s...

Re: Fire Stick IPTV
I know I can't get UK TV channels without DNS/VPN but after a bad experience (continued to take money when I had cancelled and then left interference on my router, had to buy a new one) I'm never going there again. I just wanted to know what is on the Fire Stick that I can watch wherever I am. I hav...

Re: Fire Stick IPTV
A question on the Amazon Fire TV stick. If I buy it in England and bring it to Spain, what will I be able to watch on it without a VPN? Can I watch the movies etc that come with my Premium membership (I have Amazon Premium in Spain and England). At the moment I can only watch the Amazon stuff on my ...

Re: Potato like weeds
Yes Gasman, they have flowers in multi colours, very pretty and they die off in winter, you just need to keep on top of them a bit or the whole garden will be covered! After all, weeds are only just plants in the wrong place....

Re: Potato like weeds
Check this out: Mirabilis jalapa
I think you will find this is your plant. Very pretty but difficult to get rid of if in the wrong place (although I've not tried glyphosate on it).

Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information
Dunflittin you said "I have always believed that online check in is for people with hand luggage only so they can check in at the airport quickly without going to a desk, is this correct?" If you do not check in on line (and this is when your travel document details are required) you will ...

Re: Ryanair Flights & Entering Passport Information
Dunflittin68 With Ryanair YOU HAVE TO CHECK IN ON LINE! Check in no longer refers to checking hold baggage in, it refers to checking the passengers in and if you don't do it on-line at the appropriate time you will be charged mega bucks if you try and do it when dropping your bags....... https://www...

Re: Water
It would be good if they exrended this to include airports - water fountains dotted around in departures instead of the over-priced imported water ;-) When were you last in an airport in Andalucia? When I came back to the UK in March, Jerez airport had newly installed water fountains..... Yet at St...

Re: Ryanair luggage change
Absolutely Ashtondav. The base fares are so low, they have to make some money somewhere and I for one am happy with the way things are. I prefer to have my bag with me so am now buying Priority Boarding, its worth the extra as I now don't need to stress about whether I board in the first 90 people i...

Re: Ryanair luggage change
Travelled from Jerez to Stansted this morning. Ticket included seat and Priority boarding for the first time ever but only because when I booked I couldn't see how to just book the Priority bit. Anyway, Jerez seemed to have organised themselves a bit better in that we all went through customs early ...

Non Resident Bank account
Hi Can anyone recommend a bank which will give a non resident an account, preferably with free or low cost charges please? Various ones recommended on line don't seem to come up with the goods. Sabadell is expensive for non residents. ING and BBVA on line accounts look good but won't accept a UK ID....

New Passport
Who do I need to notify that my passport has been renewed (and therefore has a new number)? I have a home in Spain and am UK resident - my bank in Spain appeared to have been notified already somehow, but what about the issuer of my NIE for example? The tax office have the new number as I've just do...

Re: Ryanair luggage change
And of course, if you have your little suitcase with you, there is no hanging about for the luggage to appear on the carousel on arrival. Could make the difference when getting a connection or onward transport. Must admit to a mild panic on learning this latest move but hey ho, if it keeps the fligh...
