Re: live music nerja area

I was in Nerja a week or so ago and saw That Band at Cochrane's and then took in another at the Temple Bar and finished up catching the last few numbers of a set by a really laid back band in a teteria. Would have stayed in the Temple Bar a little longer but on the two occasions we have looked in th...

Stones in Almeria

I have two extra tickets for the show on 30th June. Cost price of the tickets was 86 Euros each for general admission, so if you are one of the first in that means front row!! I also have a room going spare at the 3 star Hotel Indalico Mar in Almeria city on a room only basis. Looking for 198...

You are so right Retro P. This show will rank right up there with the best of them too I reckon.

Now, did you want just one of the tickets or will you take both of them? Hotel room too?

That's a sore point! We spent a fair amount of dosh on flights to Barcelona and hotel last year and then Keef fell out of his coconut tree.

Still, Barcelona was nice though . . . . .

Rolling Stones in Almeria

Wife and I are off to see the Stones at El Ejido in Almeria on Saturday 30th June. Our friends who were coming with us have just found out they can't make it and we are left with their two general admission tickets on our hands plus a 3 star hotel room in Almeria city if required. If anyone fancies ...

Great live music

Saw a band last night in O'Donoghue's in Estepona port and they are the dog's wotsits! They are London based pro session mus¡cians and a covers band and if you get to see them be prepared to listen to a fantastic range of material. They're here for a couple of weeks and playing along the coast at ve...

I'll second that, although it's always a scramble to get a ticket. I've seen him several times in Spain, with The Rising tour a couple of years ago in Barcelona being the highlight. The Boss has a soft spot for the Spanish public and if you haven't seen the DVD of Springsteen in Barcelona I suggest ...

Here you are, ladies and gents. Download this http://www.tvunetworks.com/downloads/index.htm and enjoy the World Cup courtesy of ESPN2. When you have the TVU player working, double click ESPN2 in the list of channels on the left hand side. It will initially need unzipping, so if you haven't got it a...

For your information, I parked my car for free there for five nights, took the free courtesy bus (every ten minutes or so) for the five minute ride each way to the terminal and would not hesitate to repeat the feat again. Let's hope the works there last for years  Seriously though, it can save...

The tolls change because there are low and high season rates. High season is Christmas, Easter and June, July, August and September. However, if you are a regular user and it can be seen that you go through a toll at least 64 times in the previous four months, either by paying with a credit card or ...

Parking at Malaga airport

There is a car park, P3, to the north of the control tower at the moment with courtesy buses going backwards and forwards to the terminal. There doesn't seem to be a system of tickets or payment that I could see when I drove past the other day, so does anyone know if you can leave your car there for...

You get treated worse for not speaking Spanish so what learn Spanish , have some respect for the country you are living in. Tourists not included in that comment but it does change the way you are treated if you do. Bit harsh isn't it, Ian? Did you learn your Spanish in the short period of ...

You would be much better off both in your pocket and your bones by flying from Sevilla with Vueling. 6 return flights at the end of November will cost you around 500 euros and give you a lot more time to spend in Barcelona. The train is a tiring journey in my opinion. I took the overnight express fr...

We've stayed over a couple of times when Malaga have played and each time have got in at the Silken Al Andalus Palace, a very nice hotel which is no more than a hundred metres from the stadium. Have a word with Jose and see if he'll agree to take the pitch with 8 men and give the poor old Betis team...

I think I may have solved your problem Maggie. There is a Caledonia Golf Aparthotel at the back of the Bel Air urbanisation, which is part of Estepona. However at some point when you are leaving Bel Air and moving into the El Paraiso Alto urbanisation you cross into the municipality of Benahavis, ev...

Tangier to Marrakesh

After taking the hydrofoil from Tarifa (Andalucia forum, see? ) has anyone ever taken the overnight train from Tangier to Marrakesh? I want to do this later this month but it seems that you can't book train tickets or sleeper accommodation from outside Morocco. I've booked into a riad in Marr...
