Re: Covid super variant

Same here, although my OH has only had the one Janssen, not sure if he is keen on the boosters.

Re: Covid super variant

Mark please don't use the 'antvaxxer' label for those of us who have decided for our own reasons not to have the jab. I find the term offensive, and I am not usually easily offended. I am not against vaccines, I've had plenty during my life and will probably have more in the future, I just do not w...

Re: Spanish Will

We have recently rewritten our UK wills from here by having Zoom meetings with the solicitor and showing ID etc. Not sure if you can make a Spanish will from the UK, presuming you are in Wakefield and not Iznate? If you are in Spain the easiest and cheapest thing to do it to make it directly at the ...

Re: Covid super variant

   hilarious. Everyone I know recently having either had Covid or really bad bugs that have laid them up in bed for a couple of weeks have been double jabbed. I'll hang on to my own natural immunity thanks

Re: Covid super variant

Someone just interviewed on the street in the news, being asked why they are having the third jab .... she said it was her duty to protect others ..... People still don't get that you can transmit Covid having been fully jabbed and many of those testing positive with omicron are fully jabbed. Unless...

Re: Spanish National Health Urine & Blood Tests

I have an underactive thyroid which is usually checked every 6 months, along with cholesterol and all the other usual stuff. I used to see the Dr to request the blood tests but it is just as easy now to have a phone appointment and request them, unless there's anything else I want done. So I just as...

Re: Spanish National Health Urine & Blood Tests

In the recent past I have asked my Dr for my blood tests during a phone consultation and then called into the clinic to pick up the paperwork and make the appointment with the nurse. The receptionist will then also make me an appointment a week later for the results. In pre-covid days the receptioni...

Re: 'Brit Expats leaving Spain...'

I have read the above with interest - however, I have lived in Tenerife for the last 23 years or so. Having recently just had to return to Ireland to sell my house there and returned straight back to Tenerife - why has my passport been stamped ? I have only travelled within Europe and did not fores...

That sounds a much better option and less stressful. What a price though ... back to the rip off tests!

Re: Covid super variant

But this is not the same as the flu jab, Sid. There is a link on the New Religion thread from firsttango that simply sets out exactly what the covid 'vaccine' is and it's not the same technology. I am too young for the flu jab and it is not given to absolutely everyone, nor under threat of not being...

Re: Covid super variant

Just for the record I am not an antivaxxer .... I have had plenty of vaccines but I chose not to have this particular jab. It is relevant that many of those catching the new variant have been fully jabbed, but obviously it is even less effective against new strains of Covid. From reports I have read...

Re: New PCR ruling.

You'll presumably need to use one of the suggested providers, as you did for the LFT and the PCR tests previously, through the gov.uk website. You'll need the order number to put onto your UK passenger locator form. https://www.gov.uk/find-travel-test-provider More info on their site "What you ...

Re: Covid super variant

It's a terrible state of affairs where you feel you are being coerced into having a vaccine (that is not a vaccine as such and only lessens the affects, should you have otherwise been very ill with Covid) in order to travel. So many people I know have only had the jab purely in order to make travell...

Re: Covid super variant

I was just looking at the travel rules and i am a bit confused... Can someone confirm if we need to have a Covid test before we fly... Where are you flying to? If it's the UK from 4am on Tuesday you need to book a day 2 PCR and isolate until you get the results. From the DT: "anyone arriving i...

Re: SPTH. form

I'm sure when I did my OH's the other week I just uploaded a copy the Covid certificate and it validated it. I didn't fill any details of what the vaccine was. I see from 1 December that Spain will only let in vaccinated people from the UK now so the Spanish locator form may be altered from next week.

Re: Electronic devices

You can never have flown from Alicante, or Leeds! Nope, but I have used Gatwick, Stansted and Malaga very regularly in the past (pre-Covid) and never been asked to take the chargers out of my bag. In fact we went through Malaga with a part filled bottle of water in our rucksack that we forgot last ...

Re: Electronic devices

I've never taken chargers out of the bag for security, or phones. I have only ever taken my laptop out and put into the tray separately, but my OH does take his belt off.

Re: Electronic devices

I would never put valuables in the hold luggage, plus the fact they chuck your case around and they may be damaged.
