Re: Getting a Spanish Passport

The more I read your posts the more confused I become, do you have residencia and is it permanent or temporary ? do you have an NIE ? Exactly what I said earlier. I cannot follow it. If the OP has been here 16 years already then surely he has an NIE, and should be a permanent resident already. Then...

Re: Is PCR test required for entry to Spain?

so ... in order to leave Spain and fly to UK, do you need PCR test? , covid passport? or other? ... and assume some sort of quarantine on arrival? https://www.gov.uk/guidance/red-amber-and-green-list-rules-for-entering-england#amber-list Currently, whilst Spain is on the amber list, a PCR test here...

Re: No tourists until after summer

Thanks Benal. A bit of good news? From the Telegraph. Spain plans to waive its PCR testing requirement for British visitors from May 20, if the UK's Covid infection rates allow. "[British holidaymakers] could come from May 20 onwards without a PCR if the incidence rates are below the range cur...

Re: No tourists until after summer

It’s 2 tests after arrival. When Daughter came from France she had a test to enter, a test in 2nd day and another on the 8th. In addition another test to return to France. I'm talking about the green list countries. Even if Spain goes onto the green list, although you don't need to quarantine, ther...

Re: No tourists until after summer

There's a separate health/location declaration to complete for the UK then another one for Spain when returning back here. They have to be done in advance of travelling and they give you a QR code which you present at the airports. The neighbours said that there were problems at Heathrow as some QR ...

Re: Samsung Smart TV Model no UE32H4500AM

Can't you just use the Smart TV to watch UKTV? We set ours up (an LG model) with a UK address and then it automatically was set up with the UKTV catch up/iPlayers. We use smartdnsproxy.com which costs about 20$ a year, which can easily be put into the router, so we can watch UKTV directly on the TV ...

Re: Getting a Spanish Passport

I can't quite follow what you are now proposing doing. Why not just swop your green residency card for the TIE which only costs 12€? I presume you have residency?? The DNI is for Spanish citizens, the TIE is for us Third Country residents. As I said,it is accepted as a valid ID card throughout the EU.

Re: No tourists until after summer

I put links in my previous post and both BA and Ryanair do say you cannot travel unless you're a resident but it involves a bit of digging through the site. My neighbours travelled BA from Heathrow last weekend and they said it was a complete nightmare and took forever as you have to check in with y...

Re: No tourists until after summer

The BA has a link to the gov.uk site here https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb/information/incident/coronavirus/entry-requirements https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice and if you enter Spain in the search box: Entry restrictions and requirements continue to apply for travel to Spain and only tho...

Glad to hear you got it sorted out

A couple of people I know are having to go to Malaga city as there just doesn't seem to be anything available locally in Velez Malaga.

There will be flights but only for Spanish residents. Neighbours flew in and out of the UK recently but they had paperwork to prove they are Spanish residents. They won't let you in without it.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

We had typhoid vaccination many years back and were both very ill afterwards but I would have it again if I had to. I am thinking of more long term unknown side effects as these Covid vaccines have not been tested for long. Pfizer have had a previous case against them for a SARS vaccine that caused ...

Re: Portugal

Just read this in the DT: However, mainland Portugal remains off-limits to tourism, with no indication of when holidays may resume. As the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office warns, 'If you are travelling from the UK, you can only enter [Portugal] for essential purposes, such as to liv...

Re: Portugal

Wouldn’t make any difference what Boris does as Spain is closed for UK residents. You could come to UK and ignore quarantine unless you will be close to any curtain twitchers. Most stay at home a couple if days and then ignore it. My neighbours have come back last weekend from a month's visit to th...

Re: Don't bring meat sandwiches into Spain

We went to Arkwright's in Puente don Manuel the other week and their shelves were pretty fully stocked. Russell's on Torrox Costa has got a bit more in, chilled and frozen things seem to be from Ireland. No Bird's Eye or Co-Op goods last time we went. I don't usually buy that much Brit stuff but I'v...

Re: 90 in 180 days

Perhaps it's quieter at the weekends Katy. From what's been written, there seems to be thousands of workers crossing every day from La Linea. I guess it will be much busier once the Brits go there on holiday as it's one of the few places they can get to on the green list. I would imagine they will b...

Re: Covid Restrictions Andalucia

We've been to each of the main four islands a number of times. We like them all for different reasons but go mostly now to Lanzarote where we would eventually like to relocate to (although it's very expensive so it may be some time away yet). We rent inland Campo houses when we go and drive around m...

Re: Is PCR test required for entry to Spain?

They had to go back to the UK due to their daughter in law having an operation. They were there a month. When they came back they presumably said they were returning home. They are in the middle of applying for the TIE having only moved here last September, and the confirmation paperwork they produc...
