Re: new padron

It's a certificate to show you're on the padron. Thankfully free here and we've needed quite a few in the past couple of years!

Re: Changes to Electricity Tariffs

My friends had tempo happy and seem to think they have now changed to the new tariff and times. I guess it will be clearer when the first bills at the end of June come out.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

When they were giving AZ to our age group my friends said they didn't want it and so they were given Pfizer.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

I think Nerja must be Pfizer and perhaps the hospital is just Janssen. When the appointment was made for us at the Velez hospital tent it definitely said Janssen on the details, but when you make the appointment yourself it doesn't seem to say what you're getting.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

Have you tried the Clicsalud site elusive. You don't need a digital cert to access the appointments and I find it better than the Saludresponde app.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

Personally I don't fancy being a guinea pig full stop. My OH has been under the weather for the past couple of weeks so has now decided he is not keen to have anything for the time being. At the rate we're going, they'll be starting booster jabs in the autumn or winter so we may as well wait and see...

Re: new padron

Were you talking about the certificate, the one that lasts 3 months (volante I think it's called). I never showed ID to get ours, just a copy of an old one and they're free in Torrox too.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

Just tried to make an appointment online for my OH and was given the choice of Nerja or the hospital in Velez. Knowing that the hospital was giving Janssen which he would prefer, I tried making an appointment but it's not available at the moment. There are appointments at Nerja but what vaccine are ...

They must have read my post! Now possible to make an appointment online for anyone born 1976 and prior. Vacunación COVID-19 Pueden pedir cita para la primera dosis de vacunación todas las personas nacidas en 1976 y años anteriores independientemente de su aseguramiento (público, privado, mutualidad,...

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

It must be OK then. I still can't understand why they have not corrected the Clicsalud site so that those in our age bracket cannot simply do it online. It surely must be a lot simpler than having the call centre dealing with the 60-67 year olds?

Just read that the aforementioned phone number apparently 'doesn't seem to work anymore'. Maybe just overloaded?

Re: House Aircon servicing

It seems that a service after just a few years of reasonable use isn't necessary unless they start to go wrong. Mind you, with the luck we're having with electrical goods bought in 2017 and 2018 this past couple of weeks, I'm keeping my finger's crossed the aircon units are better quality. At least ...

Re: House Aircon servicing

That's interesting Sid. We have cleaned the filters already as we have a dusty house! We were told when we had them installed that the gassing needs testing every couple of years (but I guess they would wouldn't they). Mind you, we've only ever had one ancient car's aircon regassed which was about 2...

House Aircon servicing

Thinking of having our aircon units serviced as we had them installed 3 1/2 years ago. Don't often use the bedroom one but the livingroom one is used extensively in winter and summer. What sort of cost should we expect? Had one quote for 150€ to do both.

Re: Certificate for proof of Covid vaccination

And people wonder why I am fed up to the back teeth with this third world country and want to go back to England..! If you think England is going to be more efficiently run than here then I think you're in for a shock. Certainly GP wise, we are far better off here with telephone appointments availa...

I went in and was given the phone number above (same as on the website link you gave earlier). The rest of the conversation was unintelligible, being rapid fire and behind a mask

No we don't want 1000s of channels, that would drive us mad! Coping with what we have for now but just thinking about the future possibilities.

Re: Covid Vaccinations Spain

The phone number for Axarquia jabs is 620 892260. I've yet to pluck up courage to phone. I'm OK if they're patient, but sometimes they just yabba at you and don't take account of the fact that you're struggling a bit on the phone. I shall have to bite the bullet next week and see if I can get someth...

That's interesting as my friend says that he's pleased with TVMucho. It's not an app on my TV so I would need something additional. Sounds very good.

Re: Best VPN for Amazon Firestick

Can you buy a Firestick in Spain and would it still be able to be used for the UK channels? I set up our Smart TV with a UK address and the catchup channels automatically loaded, but only the BBC app allows live streaming of TV. Currently we have the Intelsat 901 which is still going so far, but thi...
