Re: Beware of old tariffs

I have a friend who was without Movistar landline/internet for two weeks. I wrote an appeal and they reduced the corresponding bill by €30. Customer care like that is the reason I have stayed with Telefónica/Movistar for thirty five years.

Re: Coronavirus

A mask with valves prevents you from breathing your own exhaled CO2 back into your lungs.

On the odd occasion that I have to go into the town I use a mask like this (except for the ITV):

It is a mask and, as far as I am aware, it complies with the letter of the law.

Re: Coronavirus

I posted this a while ago: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/fda-hand-sanitiser-methanol-toxic-alcohol-coronavirus-recall-a9628721.html If the virus doesn't get you maybe the counter-measures will whether it is masks or hand sanitiser or depression and suicide. I never use the hand sanitiser ...

Re: Coronavirus

Apart from the maladies that masks cause they are the first step in robbing us of our identities in preparation for the dystopian New World Order. Nothing whatsoever to do with any hyped up virus.

Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

This seems also to be affecting the transfer of funds by British non-resident property owners in to their bank accounts in Spain. A number of my acquaintances have already experienced problems and have set up a system of regular transfers via Currencies Direct in order to avoid any interaction betwe...

Re: Residencia appointment

I am not sure if they have the facilty (or ability) to process the fingerprint and photograph there and then and magically produce your card at the same time. The idea of applying online is to reduce the number of visits to the police station.

Re: Residencia appointment

We haven't reached the next stage yet. When the process is complete you take your photograph with you.and they process your fingerprint. The form is provided online as part of the Mercurio program. You can check online to see the current state of your application. All the ones we have done say 'en t...

Re: First actual problem re:Brexit

The Guardian article also mentions the closure of Barclaycard accounts.

I wonder if these banks will also close the accounts of all the non-resident Russian oligachs and other wealthy non-doms with millions of pounds worth of laundered money in them?

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

I think that in order for the payment to be made from your bank account in this way you must present the forms personally. The best way would be to send him the money and ask him to make the payment in cash. In this case it would not necessarily have to be your own bank.

Re: Comments and queries re FAQ for Non-resident income tax

If there really is no way in which you can arrange for payment to be made this year just pay it when you can. You just pay the same amount and AEAT may, or may not, impose a fine and surcharges at any time in the next five years as calculated in the FAQ. You should consider obtaining a digital signa...

Re: Residencia appointment

We have done several online applications, including our own, but you do need a digital certificate and download a program called Autofirma. The program overall is not very intuitive but it does entail only one visit to a police station to collect the card and it enables one to avoid the appointment ...
