Re: Malaga car hire.

I must admit I was a little wary after your comments on delays. As it was, we were through the collection process in less than 5 minutes - they still have my data on their system from some years ago.

Re: Malaga car hire.

Just realised I hadn't done a follow-up to my car hire with Record Go thru DYS. Got home on Thursday and have to say that the whole process was more than satisfactory. The only hiccup was that our flight arrived early and we romped through passport control - downside was that we arrived at carhire d...

Re: Ryanair yet again!

Richard, You and I ( and the majority of the educated world ) are satisfied that the Earth is, indeed, a sphere that has been slightly flattened. In other words an oblate spheroid. The word "oblong " is more commonly used to describe a planar shape (i.e. 2 dimensional) whether straight-sided or roun...

Re: Ryanair yet again!

Flexo, Where did you ever get the notion that the Earth is oblong?? Your spatial awareness is just as suspect as your knowledge of employment contracts at airports around Europe. I suppose, if we are prepared to treat you as an " eccentric old bodger " we can get some level of entertainment from you...

Re: Ryanair yet again!

What are the odds against Flexo coming back with a list of Ryanair exclusive airports?
Or will he just slip away and wait for another opportunity to slag off Ryanair?

Re: Health cover if the UK leaves the EU

If people would "get off their butts" and use the vote - the right to cast a vote having been hard-fought for over the years - there would be no need to attempt to "manipulate" people into casting a vote.
Personally, I favour the notion of compulsory voting.

Costakid,
You seem to be getting more and more grouchy. Surely not the onset of an age-related grump?

I think I'll go back to my earlier intention and leave you to your own fantasies.

Re: Ryanair or Ryan nightmare.

Flexo, Your postings become ever more bizarre, IMHO. You postulated in an earlier post that you had been registered for "several years" when in fact you have been registered for less than 2 years. This does not constitute several years. More than one, certainly. You stated that you only had 7 euros ...

Re: Ryanair or Ryan nightmare.

Not least how you managed to get from CdeG to central Paris with only 5 euros to your name. If you had so much luggage with you that you were paying "200-250 euros" for your "extra luggage" then you would have had to drop the bags at check-in - unless you were already late for check in you would hav...

Re: Ryanair or Ryan nightmare.

It all seems more than a little "vague".
I have never seen a situation where a missing card and/or a PIN could be ordered and delivered within 5 days , never mind to an overseas location. Still, what do I know?.

Re: Ryanair or Ryan nightmare.

Confusion still reigns as far as I am concerned!
How did your parents get a new card (a replacement for one of your missing cards??) to you in Paris in time for you to check into a hotel etc ?
Bizarre.

Re: Cadiz / Puerto de Santa Maria

Thanks Scotty.
I found Casa del Regidor in Puerto which seems ideal for our requirements, anyone else have any comments.
We will enjoy a few bars/ tapas during the day and a good meal ( or more tapas ) in the evening.
A visit to one of the wineries will be a must!!

I never use long grain rice when making Paella ! At a pinch, Arborio rice, for risotto, is an acceptable alternative.

Cadiz / Puerto de Santa Maria

I'm thinking of driving down to take a look at Cadiz when I come out in a couple of weeks.
Cadiz looks a bit pricy for hotels and parking - is it sensible to stay in Puerto and catch the ferry back and forward.

Re: Malaga car hire.

I'm giving Record a try again when I come out in a couple of weeks.
€22 for 23 days hire is worth a try. Even with the "fuel service" charge, fuel etc. it's a deal. I have my own excess insurance and I'll give the possible queue a chance.
Report back to come after the hire is complete.
