Re: T.I.E

I think, in theory it isn't needed, but I am taking the original plus a photocopy of my residencia.
Generally speaking, officials usually need to see the original, of any document, and they keep the photocopy.

Re: Applying for UK pension on Digital Cert

The digital certificate is just a personal identifier/ access key that allows you secure access to various government/ official web sites.
From these sites, you can download various forms to fill in.
You do not find anything in or send anything to your digital certificate.

Re: microsoft edge

Microsoft Edge is the replacement for the previous Microsoft browser, Internet Explorer. When Edge first came out it wasn't very good. It has been rewritten using the Chromium code, as used by Google Chrome browser. Edge is now vastly improved and many computer experts now think that is the best bro...

Re: NHS sharing your data

Looking at the site neither my wife nor I have the required 10 digit numbers. Probably because we've been out of the UK for over 16 years. However, both of us would have been happy to share our medical records for the purpose of medical research. My wife would love it if research found a cure for th...

I have an electric water heater for my shower.
That is why I'm on an 8.8KW potencia.

Re: Reconnecting Electric and Water in property

In theory, the standard harmonised voltage in Europe should be 230V. Most of Europe was 220v and UK 240V. All of Europe should be on 230V now but when I see it I will believe it. Depending on where you are you could see anything from 200V to 250V. I was at a outdoor event here in Spain where the vol...

Re: reliable/skilled pool pump engineer?

Thinking about it the figures could have been the Horse Power rating of the pumps.
If so, then they would have been 2.4 KW and 5.00 KW pumps.
Still probably oversized for a pool.

Re: Reconnecting Electric and Water in property

iii) what are the practical options and considerations for mains potencia/voltage choices ? (I'm just used to the UK where you simply get a "domestic supply" - as far I know its all 240V and thats all you need to know) In Spain you contract for a fixed maximum potencia depending on what your total ...

Re: reliable/skilled pool pump engineer?

I'm guessing that you had a 3.2 KW pump running off a C16 Amp circuit breaker and the new pump is a 6.7 KW pump that needs a C32 Amp circuit breaker? If I am correct I hope they didn't just swap the C16 for a C32 without renewing the wiring from the circuit breaker to the pump? The circuit breaker i...

I would have thought the only thing they will really be concerned about is that you have a receipt to show that you have paid the €12 fee.

Re: T.I.E

My impression is that it must be prepaid and cannot be paid in cash at the police station. I paid mine at a Cajamar using the machine, open 24 hours, outside. OK so it takes a bit of typing but you don't have to queue. I believe some bank machines, BBVA?, will read the bar code to save you typing. C...

Yes, they do have dishes on their menu that you don't see on most "standard" Indian menus.
I will try to work my way through the non standard offerings.

Re: New Indian resturant in Torrox Costa

Yes went last night.
My wife and I both enjoyed the food.
But I know food enjoyment is a very personal taste.
Service was a bit slow but it seemed like only one waiter and one cook on duty.
Probably waiting to see how their customer base builds up.

New Indian resturant in Torrox Costa

There is a new Indian restaurant, Old Goa Indian Restuarant, in Torrox Costa. Been open about a week. The owners had the Goa Town Indian Restuarant in Nerja but sold it in 2019 as they said the place was too small. The Torrox place is larger with an outdoor seating area. It is where Jacks Bar used t...

Probably best to ask at your local town hall as I believe the rules might vary according to where, in Andalucia, you live.
