Re: CD & DVD

Whilst a DVD is physically exactly the same size as a CD, you may well find however that your CD player can only read CD disks, not DVD disks.

If you want to try a DVD in it, it won't do any harm to the CD player, it just might not be able to read it and therefore not play it.

Re: Where to Put The Dead Bodies?

I agree Chunky Monky. Any product that averages 4.5 stars (on the UK site) from well over 8000 reviews means a huge number of people are very happy with it. Of course anyone can be unlucky and get a dud, but at least buying from Amazon, they are very good should you need to replace it under guarantee.

Re: Where to Put The Dead Bodies?

Concorde - the Samsung drive looks fine to me. Just to clarify, the £10 off is for today only and you must buy from Amazon.co.uk Also, It cannot be redeemed on products sold by Amazon.co.uk Marketplace platform (including items Fulfilled by Amazon), at any of Amazon.co.uk’s Trusted Partner sites or ...

Re: Windows 10

Wow, thanks for that Enrique - I'm glad I asked you for the "easy" option! :lolno: I'm going to have to read and re-read that a few times to take it all in, but it does kind of make sense. Wouldn't life be much easier if Microsoft just gave us the option to reschedule the upgrade in a few weeks/mont...

Hi Enrique - I'm currently on Windows 7. I am on unlimited broadband, so downloading the update again is not a problem.

Re: Windows 10

Is there an EASY way to stop the "It's time to upgrade" message appearing every 2 days? I want to delay installing it for several weeks at least. The only option I seem to have is delaying it for another couple of days, which I have already done several times. If I happen to be away from the compute...

Don't even think about giving them your bank card details unless you want to lose a lot of money. By pirating movies, what they are doing is almost certainly illegal. Do you really want to give criminals your credit card details?

It sounds like Audio Description was switched on - a service that helps visually impaired people follow what's happening.

Re: Windows 10

Whilst Windows 10 will be free for a year, there seems to be some confusion on other forums over whether Microsoft will charge for future updates after the first 12 months. :wtf:

Re: Expensive internet. Why?

There is so much competition in the UK, Broadband is often available for free, or even cheaper! Last year I paid (Plusnet) £3 a month, plus £6 p&p for the router but got £35 cashback, so total cost was £7 for the year. This year when I phoned up to negotiate a better deal, I was offered £2.50 a mont...

Re: Probably a silly question about android tablets

It would be much easier if you buy a tablet that has an HDMI output socket, like this one for example... http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00KEVSPDY?psc=1 You can then just plug the tablet directly in to your TV via an HDMI lead. If all HDMI ports are taken on your TV, you can get a little device that tur...

Re: flix247.com

You would be absolutely stark raving mad to give your credit card number to a company that allows you watch movies illegally.

When they have maxed out your credit card to it's limit, who exactly are you going to complain to?

Stay well clear is my advice.

Whatever happened to Windows 9?

Did I blink and miss it?

We seem to have gone from Windows 8 to Windows 10.

Another vote for http://www.tvguide.co.uk/ - the thing I like about it is you can customize it so it only displays the channels that you actually watch.

And then with it switched on (to the UK location)...

As you can see there is no noticeable difference in speed.

Re: Has anyone actually lost their TV signal yet?

I have just heard from someone in Benalmadena who says they are receiving BBC2 on a sky box on channel number 978. Their community has a 1.8m dish.

Can anyone else confirm this?

If you use Zenmate (an add-on for Google Chrome) you can watch iPlayer but it won't allow you to download programmes.
