Re: Filmon HDI (TV)

Did you download the latest version from http://www.watch-bbc-iplayer.com/ - if not, that could be your problem. It can sometimes be a bit temperamental, so I would wait a few more hours before uninstalling/reinstalling, if that's what you decide to do. It's always worth having a look at http://www....

Re: INSERTING NEW WHITE SKY CARD INTO DIFFERENT BOX

this doesnt work for me. it gives me the option to choose it so i press yellow and then select, to confirm, but i still dont get the channel. it says needs relevant sky card. [/quote] It sounds to me like you have probably added the channel correctly, but you are trying to access it by pressing 105...

Re: INSERTING NEW WHITE SKY CARD INTO DIFFERENT BOX

Remember you don't need to buy a card if it's just Channel Five that you want, as it can be added as an additional channel.

You might find this informative.

http://www.myp2pforum.eu/threads/23478- ... ly-blocked)?highlight=expat+shield

I've done a bit of research on the net today, and in general, most people give Expat Shield positive feedback.

Looks like it could be one of the more simple ways of watching UK TV abroad.

Expat Shield

Is anyone here using Expat Shield? http://www.expatshield.com/ It's a FREE VPN allowing you to watch UK TV eg, as if you are based in the UK. There is a 5 GB download limit per Month, and with some applications (like TV Ants), you can disconnect from the VPN as soon as you are watching your TV progr...

Re: DVD PVR Recorder

I haven't explored this facility of my Humax but I think you can only transfer mp3s and jpegs to the internal hard drive. The Humax is great but if I did not already have a DVD/HDD recorder I would have gone for one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-DMR-X ... d_sxp_f_pt http://www.panason...

Re: Intermittent reception - Satellite TV

NOTE: Digiboxes automatically download the EPG when the satellite demands it to, and this can cause the digibox default transponder to return to 11.778 (V). I would stress this point that you posted. Changing the default transponder is a recognised thing to do if the box won't lock but it will have...

Re: Tennis in southern Andalucia- marbella to Malaga region

There is a Danish tennis club situated in a cul-de-sac on the main road from Fuengirola to Mijas, about 2K from the train station. Sorry I can't be any more accurate than that but it's several years since I was last there! They have (or used to have) mix in tennis almost every morning. It was well a...

Re: Jazztel - contract

I was getting lots of this type of annoying calls. Then I registered with ListaRobinson. https://www.listarobinson.es/default.asp It takes 2 or 3 weeks to kick in, but after that you should receive no more sales calls. I might get 1 a month now, compared to the 10 or 12 a week I was getting before. ...

Maurice Boland leaves Talk Radio Europe

Maurice Boland has left TRE. A brief statement from TRE reads "For personal and family reasons and with immediate effect, Maurice Boland’s connection with Talk Radio Europe has been terminated."

Re: Watching Premier League free on-line

I always use MyP2P http://myp2p.eu/ Click on the "Live Sports" tab near the top of the screen and then click on "Football" or what ever sport you wish to watch. I prefer to use Sopcast - I find it very reliable, but there are normally several options that allow you to watch directly in your browser.

Re: Channel 4

I often find Channel 4 breaks up - not all the time but at certain times of the day.

One solution is watch the programme 1 hour later on Channel 4+1 (on Sky 135 or 995). I have never experienced problems with the plus one version of channel 4.

Re: Watching Films in V.O.

I too have noticed some of the smaller channels only broadcast an English language film in dubbed Spanish. I can't remember which channels, but Canal Sur rings a bell. I guess its down to the individual broadcaster to use the V.O. option. The main national TV channels do mostly broadcast in English,...

Re: Mobile Phone Top Up

I have a Vodafone PAYG - I don't know if they are all the same, it may depend on your individual plan, but with me I have to top up every 9 months - €5 will suffice. If you don't top up after 9 months, you can continue to receive calls for 3 more months. After 12 months of no top up, you can lose yo...

Re: vodafone adsl

I'm surprised to hear that. With a EuroDirect card for example, you have the option to access their system using a 951 xxx xxx number, which gives you 800 minutes to the UK & some other places for €6.

I would be surprised if they blocked that 951 xxx xxx number.

Can I add to that question - Were you left without a landline or ADSL for a period of time whilst you were being switched over?

Also, if needed, do Vodafone have support in English.

Thanks everybody for all the suggestions. I've now tried all of them, but still no joy!

I guess it's time to admit to defeat and buy myself a card reader.
