Re: Transfering photos from camera to computer

No, it doesn't show up on My Computer, even though a light comes on the camera end of the lead to show that it is connected and charging. flan_taster - I don't have a USB card reader, but I might buy one if I can't find a solution. The silly thing is, until yesterday, the wizard would nearly always ...

Transfering photos from camera to computer

Normally when transferring photos from my camera, I just connect my camera to the PC via a USB socket and the Microsoft wizard appears.

Now however, although I know the camera is connected, as it starts charging, no wizard appears.

Any idea how I can get the wizard to appear?

Midas & Telitec advertise only 5.3 cents a minute to call the UK using one of their sim cards.

Watch out though for a large connection charge - around 35 cents.

Re: Telitec

I too use Telitec for my landline calls. I also have never had a problem with them. I will probably switch my line rental and ADSL over to them at some point in the future, but like pigs-might-fly, do wonder if Telifonica will make it difficult to switch over - I can't afford to be without ADSL for ...

Press the "Sky" button at the top of the handset - that's the quickest way to return to normal TV.

No Antena 3 on TDT Box

Last week I bought a new TDT box after the analogue signal was switched off in my area. I went to Carrefour in Torremolinos, and bought a Metronic Zapbox. They were reduced from €40 to €25. Carrefour had a huge pile of them and were heavily promoting them.- They were selling like hot cakes. Upon get...

Re: New Malaga Airport Terminal Open

Neighbours of mine who used it this week said they used a new enclosed walkway all the way from T3 to the car park just above the old railway station, which is still in use. The last bit where you go down the series of slopes is still in the open.

I agree there is normally very little to watch. However this weekend, all 4 FA Cup quarter finals are live on ITV. :D

ITV HD on Sky+ HD Box

Anyone lucky enough to own a Sky+ HD Box might be interested in the link below. http://www.tellytoad.com/page/itv-hd-on-sky-hd.aspx Basically, it's an idiots guide on how to get ITV HD on your Sky+ HD Box. I haven't tried it myself as I don't own a Sky+ HD Box, but have been told be several people t...

I'm not bothering to get a new card. I did watch Fiver quite often, and will miss that channel, but not enough to buy a new card!

Re: Best deals for broadband

May try it later, or try 1004 again as suggested by SpanishBlue. How long ago was it that you received the opportunity to upgrade to 3mb for €28.00 SpanishBlue? It was last June I changed over to 3mb for €28. Prior to that I was paying €41 for 6mb. A friend of mine had to phone 1004 three or four t...

Re: Channel 4+1 has disappeared

Channel 4+1 working fine here as well.

You can still get Five as well. You just need to add it as an extra channel if you lose it on 105 when your old blue card is deactivated. (Not everyone will lose it on 105, it depends on what area your card is registered to.)

Free UK TV with Europa ADSL

I see Europa Network are offering free UK TV with their 3mb ADSL service. It's only a handful of channels at the moment, but does include the "Big 5" Just wondering if anyone has tried this service? It certainly could be an option for someone who struggles to get UK TV by other means. http://www.eur...

Re: Best deals for broadband

Julie / Laslomas - Why not ring Telefonica on 1004 and threaten to leave them. That's what I did, and I was given a 3MB connection for €28 for life. I was also offered another option, can't remember what now, but it was something like 10MB for around €30, but only for 9 months. If they don't offer y...

£30 - That sounds very cheap. Is that definitely a box for receiving satellite TV, not for TV through an ariel?

Re: how to watch the ITV and BBC Iplayers with foxy proxy

Thanks for that Pigs-Might-Fly, have now got the iPlayer working, it's just downloads that it thinks I'm out of the country for (strange). I can't download either, I think that's normal. But it works a treat for just for watching. Has anybody found out yet how to watch Channel 4 or Five? :t...

Also, it's possible you may have to sign for the new passport when it's delivered to your son's UK address I don't recall having to do that when I got my renewal this time last year. It just plopped through the letterbox quite unceremoniously. Presumably you'll be sending all the (correctly complet...

Re: Passport Renewal

It is possible - I know someone who renewed their passport doing just that. However, it does say on the passport renewal form that you are meant to be in the UK at the time you renew a passport. Also, it's possible you may have to sign for the new passport when it's delivered to your son's UK addres...
