I read somewhere about parcels sent now being stamped "non-eu" .. i wonder if that will have any effect on the cost and time it takes to get there

Re: Hire car had a puncture

As I said before, the slightest discrepancy in the specification of the tyres will be an instant fail but the degree of nit-picking will be down to the individual tester. ignoring the tyres - I took a customers car, a Mercedes ML, first model, that was fitted with side bars and a tyre rack on the b...

Re: places to hire a reasonable mountain bike (not high end) in Malaga city

Download wallapop, buy one for 20 euro a few streets away.

Abandon it with a sign "llevarme, soy gratis!" When you are done with it, or sell it on wallapop again.

Re: taxi rates airport

Airport transfers charge you for waiting and the pick up charge will be too high for such a short journey. Taxi from airport taxi stand is the best bet or take the train to town centre and get a bus from there. Agreed, train then local taxi. Would be cheaper. If you have luggage / old people / kids...

Re: Bedbugs in rented flat - who pays?

I totally agreey jhonie99 ... if its a legal rental. We pay cash, without a contract, and anything that needs to be fixed we moan at the landlady and she normally pays for it.

not everyone has everything "correct". dont forget theres a mountain of black money still in spain.

looking for a house, but everything i see doesnt have an escritura?!?!!?

I´m not sure what to say - we have contacted more houses and estate agents than i can remember about houses in the last few weeks.. and nobody seems to be selling anything under 150,000 euros that has an escritura !!! We obviously cant get a mortgage on a house without an escritura, and we cant affo...

A 1995 fiesta in 2017. Was 1 owner done 5000 miles or sentimental value? as far as i can remember, it was less than 60,000 miles, full dealer history. a bit of a 1 geeky owner from new by all accounts. the thing looked like it had just come out of the showroom. The fact that most engines are now sm...

Re: New RCD fitted keeps tripping

as its so random it sounds as tho it may be a loose wire somewhere.

the only way to locate it would be to leave one rcd off and see if it still trips. if it doesnt, its something connected to that rcd. ie, eliminate the "good circuits".

sounds like a nightmare to find, good luck.

Re: Death, what now?

Sadly my best friend died suddenly at the weekend. She has a house in Iznate. Her Spanish will names me as the "universal heir to her assets". Although I have visited Spain and her house many times in the past 20 years I have not had the need to get an NIE number or anything like that. Not for the ...
