We once used something called “Yesoplast”, very slow setting but unfortunately a bit more expensive. We wanted a slightly textured effect to give a more rustic look, it was mixed to a ‘toothpaste consistency’, and after it was applied, it was still workable for quite a while, a was bit like (dare I ...

daneinspain, OK, got it, however if anyone else is interested, we sometimes burn wood in an old oil drum (approx 50 x 30 cms) for heating our patio, then we put a grill type of thing over the red embers and it’s a BBQ. A bit basic and ugly, but even cheaper still and a nice smell of wood smoke. :D N...

If cleaning the chimney doesn’t have much effect, try opening a door or a window, because, if hot air and smoke are to go up the chimney, new air has to come into the room to replace it, if this works, then ventilation is a problem.

Hi Grouser

They’re cleaning them, as dirt builds up on the insulators, current can track down them, causing obvious problems. This is a much quicker and cheaper method than having someone climb up the pylon to clean them manually. The same thing goes on in Britain.

Check out http://www.ukgovabusesexpats.co.uk for information on healthcare in Spain. When following the information given on this site, don’t expect miracles, it took me over six months (off and on) going to different health centres and social security offices etc. before I managed to get my Spanish...

Hi bongtrees

Check out www.ukgovabusesexpats.co.uk (click on Europe & Health care in EU.)

I followed the information given and although it took a lot of time and number of visits to various health centres/social security offices, I now have a Spanish health card.

There are two grades of diesel on the market, one is obviously more expensive, could this be the one you’ve seen? I use diesel and I have only ever seen the "cheap" one - Gasoleo A. Sid Just had a look at a BP filling station today. Ultimate diesel €1.019. More power, better efficiency, burns clean...

Ours is a British washing machine, we just have the cold water connected and ignore the hot connection altogether. The water is heated up by the element in the machine. No problems.

Kelly4. What sort of adaptors?
