Re: TRAINS

On the subject of trains; Sorry to "borrow" the thread: The Tarjeta Dorada has now been changed to a" touch and go" type . Your old one will not work ( as we found out at the station the other day) You have to re-apply at a mainline, manned, station, pick up the application forms, fill them in and r...

Re: Cyclists

Mr Pumpkin, one question please.
Do you consider that all Bicycles should legally have to have a working bell fitted as an audible warning device for pedestrians and other road hazards?

Re: Cyclists

On our recent visits to the UK we have been appalled at the rudeness of cyclists to pedestrians on cycleways especially, is it not the law that a bike should have a bell fitted to be used as an audible warning? None seem to in England from our experience and you don't always here them coming. My wif...

Yes...this worked for me as well. The 10 in 1 tablets work best and are very good for the pool too!

Cyclists

Whilst I applaud the legislation that motorists should give Cyclists 1.5 metre clearance when overtaking I wonder when we will hear of cyclists being prosecuted for erratic cycling, cycling two abreast, cycling as a moving traffic jam in a 50 yards long bunch being impossible to overtake on twisty r...

Re: Structural Engineer

Cracking of rendered walls is very common, especially in these hot climes. One way to get a clue if it's a serious problem is to check inside and outside the building in the same area. If there are no corresponding cracks internally, relax and just keep an eye on it over the years, see if it moves f...

Re: Structural Engineer

Vincent,
How old are your buildings? In the Campo if they are "old build" they will crack all the time; they are likely built of stones and in-filled with dirt and cracking is to be expected ans is quite safe.
Not so of course if it's new build.

Re: Strange request re. Vehicle Reg in the UK

Thankyou all very much for answering my question: That is one item ticked off our list. I am thinking of buying a Dacia Duster to replace my old Rangy, you can get a new one for 10k at our local dealer in Coin, then I spoilt it by saying it needed to be RHD! You'd have thought I had asked for 50 kil...

Strange request re. Vehicle Reg in the UK

We are hoping to relocate back to Blighty in the new year after 20 glorious years down here. As a precursor to actually getting back we plan to do some pretty exhaustive mileage looking for a location to settle in. As my car here is 25 years old I wonder if anyone has knowledge of the UK licencing s...

Sorry, we have just received notification, the Leeds closes at the end of November, we are transferring our funds back to the UK as they are now meager and the interest is pitiful anyway.

I've used this company in the past with no problems at all. It wasn't Malaga though so can't speak locally. But Europe wide they are good.

Yes, the premarco is like a sub-frame to which the actual window is attached, it's like a pre-forma and needs to be right!
