Re: Junkers minimaxx boiler help required

Is that the one that has an on/off button? If so check it hasn't been pressed inadvertently Debris bridging the sparking equipment.? Is There a good flow of water out of the hot tap? Might be a few months of debris in the mains water that has come through and blocked up an inline filter. In a tap? I...

Re: One year ago today, to the hour.

Cannot believe it is a year!

I went over to the UK for two weeks and didn’t get back for five months!

Had been looking forward to travelling more and putting house on market. Who knows what the next five years hold....

Hope you get your 5k back.

Re: Yellow Shrubs in Alginarejo A4154

I will try and give you the low dowb on the road between Loja and Ventorros de San Jose. First thing to know is it is a major trunk road and carries lots of heavy lorries between Loja and Priego. It is so narrow and twisty that inevitably there are accidents on the blind corners. Next thing to know ...

Re: reliable/skilled pool pump engineer?

A good question to ask is why a more powerful pump has been fitted? Didn’t they have the right one in stock? Any fitter upgrading a pump should have asked a few questions like why and is the wiring up to scratch. Changing fitters and companies loses the responsibility to find a solution. I was going...

That is some heat! Doesn’t bode well for the future.

I saw that Bilbao was forecast to have 42.

Try the heating/cooling shop in Loja on Perez Alamo. That is the road parallel To the river between the two bridges. It is near the big white goods shop ( Ocana?)

Quite depressing when you read the small print of company’s like Ryanair’s own insurance ( check you are actually eligible).

Re: Tank and pump for house

Gerry, excellent suggestion. We left plenty of redundancy in upstairs. there is a perfect place inline on the cold feed. Wouldn't have hot water (other than kettle) but it is so hot that the tank would probably be at thirty degC. Won't need to keep switching it either. Simple solution, Thanks.

Re: Tank and pump for house

Anyone? I am now thinking a lidded tank, ballcock with a stiffener for the tank if very flexible. Pipe out of the bottom at the side, to an on demand pump (not a submersible) then back into the plumbing of the house. Would the big DIY place near Leroy in Malaga sell all those items? The pump is the ...

Re: Flying from Gibralta

Yes, you do. You have to declare which countries you have been to prior to flying. Whether anyone will check is another matter. The UK is good at introducing such measures, but never seem to enforce them. Sid No border controls whatsoever near Irun on frontier. Maybe Schengen protects . Thousands o...

Rest assured we wont be contesting the fines or asking for reduction due to lock down. Did manage the toll for Dart crossing this time. I hope there isnt a points on licence facility for French speeding fines above a certain threshold. Did a 1000 km with no screen washer facility. Bird flew into whe...

No gave it a miss. Too difficult to book. There is a new ship too for next year. Came down in three days. Two French speeding fines waiting . 83 and 84 in an 80 limit. The time limit for the discount has gone by the time we got back. Dread to think how many we have got on the return journey. makes t...

Tank and pump for house

Arrived back home finally to find we only have village water between 10 and 4 .or the foreseeable future. We have never wanted the added complication of a tank with a powered on demand pump as didnt like the idea of a tank, even with a lid in line. However needs must. Only temp but might become perm...

Gordon how old are they? Straight out of vets college? Helpful doesn't cut the mustard. We need knowledgeable vets. Helpful vets line their pockets. We have spent a fortune and the dog is no better and suffering. The “farm” vet at Ventorros misdiagnosed the dog. Our own former vet Victoria did also....
