Funny how hindsight makes a lot of the content of this thread redundant, isn't it?

Re: Anyone been affected by the new airport tax ?

Got an email from Ryanair yesterday: Dear Customer, The Spanish 2012 budget was passed into law on Saturday 30 June, as a result all airlines are obliged, with effect from 1 July onwards to collect increased Spanish airport departure taxes from all passengers booked on flights after that date. In ac...

Re: Bird Box disaster

That is the downside of having a camera in the nest, you sometimes see things you don't want to. We put a camera in the sparrows box last year. One brood all survived, one brood all perished and the third brood was very distressing as we watched the two larger chicks take it in turns to sit on the s...

Re: advice/recommendations for plant needing little water

We just dug up a few of the different cacti that grow in the campo near our village. Took them back and put them in a few pots and they have been growing well for the last three years. Our village is at 2000ft above sea level so not quite so high, but we are only there to tend them three or four tim...

It shouldn't take long to get to Atocha, it must be less than a mile. On the metro it is only three stations away with one change.
http://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/index.html should have the ticket info.

Re: Carobs

Our friend Josè took us into someones stable/ house, where there was a large mound of them and gave us a couple to taste. He then told us you get some massive rats running round in here! We looked at each other slightly shocked, but he said don't worry, we only feed the carobs to the animals! Nice!
