Thanks for the replies but I think I will go with the salt as it is cheaper than Electric and Safer, but the next few months will be warmer at night.
My son is there at the moment so plenty of ventilation which will help dry things out.

I am with Kenny as we bought a holiday home but because of our age have been lots of places in the world and are more than Happy to go to our place and it does feel special. No because we don't get the weather the same and we don't get as many insects in the house. I have laminate in the bedrooms in the Uk and its fine but would not use it in Spain but that's just me others may feel it will be ok

You would need a good quality one as the cheaper ones chip and do swell with the slightest bit of water but my concern would be insects getting under it as it would be a good breeding ground for them.

Yes you need a dust control mop and use it damp to pick up the dust and not spread it round which a dry one will do. Another option just vacuum everyday and this will contain the dust as well

Thanks country boy that great and as you are in Pizarra that is good news so the next thing we need to do is put in a fibre glass or whatever we can get and then if I could contact your friend to deliver some water because we have none at the moment so will be at the Pizarra or Alora water taps fill...
