Re: Driving licence renewal - medical test

Hola In my experience, any Trafico is surround by "ancillary" services providing everything needed by Trafico in the way of vehicles and licenses. Therefore if you are near a Trafico walk around the block that contains Trafico and you should find whatever service you are looking for Good luck Davexf

Re: Best Android or other TV service box

Hola I've just bought another box from http://www.entertainmentbox.com - For the first time ever the box arrived with a problem (I have bought from them many times before) and there was no problem in returning the defunct box and them posting a replacement. I recommend the T8-V box with an air mous...

Re: Electricity Cables

Hola If there are only two wires to connect to two wires on the light then it doesn't really make a difference as the light will work no matter which way you connect. The correct way is to test with a neon screwdriver that lights up when the live wire is touched - connect to the blue wire, the brown...

Re: Diving from Sevilla to Algeciras the best way

Hola
If you want to drive toll free then take the old N4 road; The N4 toll road is due to become free - but probably in 2020.

From the N4 you need to take the A381 from Jerez to Algeciras

Re: Car modification and legalities of it.

Hola If you import a car which does not conform to the original specifications then to get it homologated it has to be taken (not driven) to one of the two special testing stations - either Barcelona or Madrid. They will then pass / fail / ask for a modification. The last cost I heard of was 3,000€....

Re: “Expats” or “Immigrants”

People who live here without documentation are illegal immigrants, whether they are black white or brown. One explanation I have seen is that the difference between Expats and immigrants is that Expats (in the traditional sense) are working/living in a foreign country with the intention to return t...

Re: Android tv box recommendations

Hola

For the past few years I have bought IPTV streaming boxes from https://www.entertainmentbox.com/ - usual disclaimer - I have no interest in the site except as a satisfied user.

Currently using a T8-V and more than satisfied

Re: Ryanair industrial action July

Hola

Because "if you follow the rules" then it is cheap - often at "silly o'clock" or airports miles from where you want to be - but to some, the cheapness is important

Re: DAFO ?

Hola A DAFO is a Declaration Asimilacion Fuera de Ordenacion or assimilated in the plan although it is outside of normal planning. Another way of putting it is "Having raised awareness, the house has been recognised" To obtain a certificate you will need to have a recognised septic tank if not conne...

Yes.
I also pay extra rather than use Ryanair; too much hassle as you never know when he changes the rules. I tend to use BA normally or Easyjet sometimes

Re: Windows 10 1803 Update

Hola Enrique,

After the update just using the computer normally, sometimes there is a battery icon, and sometimes not. It always reappears after a restart option instead of close down and then open up later - so far !!!

Re: Windows 10 1803 Update

Hola

Took hours on my three year old laptop (cheap Acer) and has taken four hours so far on the office HP laptop! The battery level icon disappears every so often so you don't know how much battery you have left.

Sad news about homegroup - have used it extensively

Hola
I would assume that it is the norm to process the forms at your local trafico (and pay the transfer tax locally). The seller does not have to be present

I got one for Christmas and set it up in my Daughter's house in Scotland. All worked okay and I downloaded the controlling application to my phone. Came home and it would do nothing. Wouldn't even connect to my WiFi. Now I know nothing about computers but by some good luck I got it working, in a fa...

Hola My phone has "Hi Bixby" & "OK Goggle" but I use an Android streaming box for You tube music through the TV. I should add that my phone comes with a DEC docking station so I can use the TV as a large screen computer - it was incredibly fast when I tried it but then again the phone was but a few ...

Re: Windows 10 or Mac?

Hola

I go for Windows; it is used by many more people - if you Google it you'll find roughly 80% Windows and 20% Mac. There are specialist programs for specific purposes - but ignoring those I'd buy a Windows computer every time.
