Re: Spanish TV channel frequencies
put your postcode into the tdt.es website and it should give you the channel numbers. Don't know where you are but you might be covered by the single frequency network down there in which case 57 is the answer assuming you can put channel numbers in instead of frequency. edit: this is assuming I've ...

Re: Volcanic Ash.
I think some fell here yesterday (Friday) am as I could smell something and when I took the car out I had to clean the screen and have since rinsed the car of the dust. Put some white washing out which wasn't a wonderful idea. In 3 days I have seen 2 light aircraft and that's it. No big stuff on it'...

I think they are the terrestrial versions of those channels not the satellite ones. For a list of football matches on satellite look on http://liveonsat.com

It sounds like that system is one of those re-broadcasting systems via an aerial rather than a dish. I don't think there are any down on the CDS unless any knows different.

Re: Receiving satellite TV in Spain.
To be accurate there is also the option of motorizing the dish like us geeky types do and using cams , etc.beachbabe wrote:I thought there were only two options with satellie: Sky and a card (or no card) their free channels, or a free to view/freesat satellite receiver as sold by Humax et al.

Re: SKY BASIC OR FREE SAT
AFAIK all freesat recievers have a non-freesat mode. On a goodmans HD box in non freesat mode you scan the particular channel you want. In your case 12207V 27500 for Sky News. It then appears on a second list and you swap between freesat and non freesat channels.

Re: SKY BASIC OR FREE SAT
If I could move to Spain tomorrow I would take a Freesat box in preference to a Sky box. If you want all the sports and movies then it is a different question. For easy regionality and the basic channels it is the way to go.
Costakid - you can add Sky News under the non-freesat menu.

Have you had a google? I use moneysavingexpert.com and one of the forums is a pension one. I note there is a recent thread about this but I'm afraid it means nothing to me.

Re: Spanish digital TV
Have you got the antenna the right way up? It should have the small bars horizontal. Sid I thought I read somewhere that the digital stuff was vertical. I installed digital transmitters here in the UK and couldn't understand that decision. Perhaps I was dreaming? Have you got any links to say which...

There isn't a transponder on 10731H. As beach says use 10773H 22000 5/6 for region 2 Five.

Re: Connecting laptop to tv
I've just had the opposite on my laptop in that the HDMI audio was fine but there was no audio from the computer speakers. Somehow HDMI audio became selected as the default. Changed it back to the computer and it was fine but HDMI audio disappeared. To enable HDMI audio I have to make it the default...

Re: sky freesat card
What's the going rate for a new white card down there? From what I hear it is a big markup from £20 here in the UK for not much benefit. Incidentally , freesat boxes start at less than £30 now.

Re: Connecting laptop to tv

The HDMI connection also immediately disables the TV SCART output through which I have been using my wirel...

Re: Mast identification
Having worked on tv transmitters for over 2 decades in the UK I suppose I should stick my neck out. The photo from Campo Steve does look as though it has the same type of red aerial panels as the photo from Beach. A main tx (in the UK)generally is a tripod affair so has panels on 3 faces. A smaller ...

Re: TV Transmitter
I am right between two transmitters that broadcast on the same channels. I have been given to understand that a Televés DAT45 antenna would improve the signal but as they cost more than the actual receiver I haven't bothered. Instead I get all the Spanish TV I want from Hispasat. Beach, It's design...

Re: Humax, sorry one more question !
The Alba range of freesat HD boxes come with a HDMI cable but they didn't used to. Just had a look through a few catalogues at cable prices. Argos £5 upwards (but that one one is short) , Maplin £20 upwards and CPC £1.69+vat upwards (although is a very short one) Generally about £4 for a decent 2m l...

It's now available on the Wii if you have one connected to the net. It has some kind of UK restriction (It just says you have to have to your country settings to the UK on the Wii and it's a free download btw as a dedicated channel via the shop) I would be interested to know if anyone can do this do...

Yes .Griff. If you look at the Malaga football ground and turn North after you pass the 'river' it becomes darker. Here in West Yorks I live in a small village , saw the vehicle on the main through road but I've also seen it twice in the small cul-de-sac I live in.

Re: Change regional programme choice on Sky
With Sky your regional location is dependant on the card you are using. If you don't have a card then it defaults to London. It's not the same as freesat were you can put a postcode in for your local news.
