Google street views

Don't think this has been posted but the street views on google maps from the camera cars for much of Spain is now on their site. Noticed it in the todays paper and from first glances looks quite detailed. I know there was a thread when they came round but couldn't find it.

Tonight on BBC4 9pm GMT there is a prog about the title. Specifically mentions the Malaga area in my paper listings. May be of interest to some of you.

Re: satellite dish positioning for Spanish TV

List of free to air Spanish channels on www.flysat.com/tv-sp.php As you can see there are two options. Point a dish at 19E or for a bit more choice 30W. 19E is 11 degrees further West than a Sky UK dish points and 5 degrees higher in elevation(figures for Vinuela) The skew would be slightly less clo...

Re: High definition TV for London and UK Granada areas

What software is on it Mark? 1.7.48 is the one one that is causing many faults for the HD boxes. I've read that some of the early boxes are still OK but there are many people with problems looking at various websites. Doesn't affect the SD boxes in case anyone on here doesn't know.

Re: High definition TV for London and UK Granada areas

In Spain, the equivalent option, Freesat HD, has been available for some time. Any additional channels (in addition to BBC HD and ITV HD) which may become available on Freeview HD in the UK will almost certainly be available on Freesat. Sid But unfortunately most Freesat HD boxes made by Alba (Good...

Re: Guinness Premiership rugby

Karandjon - I don't have Digitalalb. Have a look on alsatoffers for UK price. I don't know which card you have. Sorry for delayed response.
Trato - If you have a basic ftv card that does Sky3 then the Leicester - Newcastle game on Saturday is being shown on there as part of a 'free weekend' .

Re: Grundig GDS310 or Pace 2600

London , Northern England and Scotland are still mapped to an encoded CH5 according to a thread on digitalspy. That's why the one you tried murbisa works , but don't expect the TT ? one will therefore.
Pigs - does the epg work though?

Re: Grundig GDS310 or Pace 2600

In fact, if you get a Sky box and don't use a card you have to tune Five in manually. It's changed in the last few days. If you take a Sky card out of the box then 105 still appears on the epg and apparently is clear. This depends on what region your sky card is mapped to. I haven't got a recent sky...

Re: Guinness Premiership rugby

Don't know about Spain as my move there collapsed but there are many outlets in the UK to buy a motor. Incidentally how did you get on with Digitalalb? The price has been recently reduced over here.

Re: Guinness Premiership rugby

Not a Spanish channel but do you know ITV4 have a highlights prog this evening. The GLO - BATH game is currently on Sky Sports and they have kindly provided a fta feed on Eutelsat W1 at 10 degrees east for those of us with a motorized system.

Anyone lost a boxer dog?

Was listening to BBC radio 2 here in the UK this morning and there was a story about a dog found in a diy store carpark. Apparently it had stowed away on a lorry from the Malaga area.

Re: Dish position for spanish tv

The two satellite positions for Spain are 19E and 30W. You may able to get what is called a monoblock for 16 & 19E but I'm not sure. You could then keep it pointing at 16E. I've read that tdt is being rolled out on satellite for places that don't have terrestrial coverage of it but a special rec...

Re: Free to view UK tv

Just to clarify that Campo Steve. Yes you need a card for ch5 if you want to receive the one located at position 105 on the sky epg with the info. If you use a sky box without a card then scan 10773H 22000 5/6 for Five and store under other channels. If you use any other box then the same can be don...

Re: Free to view UK tv

Without a card 101 will revert to BBC1 London but the regions can be selected from channel 970 onwards. 102 is BBC2 England but again the regional variations are available from 990. 103 will revert to ITV1 Central West , for the regions you would need to scan them under other channels. 104 is as nor...

Re: Spanish TV that can be viewed in the UK

Have a look on http://www.flysat.com/tv-sp.php for an accurate list. A cheap fta system fron lidl or maplin would be fine. Dish footprints say 19E and 30W are no problem with a 50cm dish in the UK and you could probably use a smaller one but I would suggest a second one rather than trying to use you...
