Re: why register vodafone

Its a good idea for sims being registered. In Ireland anyone can buy sims without ID. So criminals buy lots of them and change every few days....... much harder for police to track and monitor. I did point this out to the telefonica guy in La canada when I gave him my passport. He had never thought ...

Re: Spain recomended as fiscal haven???

Time for a moderator (admin) to step in & delete the thread or lock it. Speaking as a mod on a car forum ....when people start wanting to talk offline it normally goes the "legal" route.

GPS = Global positioning System. It locates your device not anything else   . Mind you I use mine to keep an eye on my "speed over the ground" which is about 15% more accurate than your speedo in the car.

I dont know why im whinging about the pool, its nothing but hassle when it is opened, kids running round you when you are sunbathing,English bringing bottles of Lager into the area, along with hoards of their drinking buddies(when you are only allowed four people per household) Other members of the Ur...

Re: Bike Insurance.

I'm an insurance broker. Its only a problem if you have a claim ! So when you hit a car / child etc etc then it all goes *beep* up. Dont do it. Insure it with a spanish company (ibex) etc and then you can sleep at night.

Re: Transfer of vehicles at the Trafico Office

At last. Common sense prevails. It sems similar to the Irish / UK system (without ID). Well done you. You should now print up the forms and sell them to people here for €10 each. :D :D :D

Re: Motorbike tax

Slight thread drift here 8) but it appears that the spanish system needs a total review in vehicle registrations. In Ireland (& I think UK) we post the log book to licensing people with a simple form and away we go  . I'm surprised the spanish system has not changed since 1900 :D .

Re: San Pedro tunnell.

So it appears that the best way from the airport to El Paraiso is now AP7 all the way down to Estepona and then back up the A7 to Cancelada exit ? This will avoid the whole area around san pedro. Any locals here care to comment ?
